Developer Proletariat has shared a new selection of screenshots (as well as a short trailer) for Spellbreak, an upcoming magic-focused battle royale game launching on Switch.

The game was first revealed for Switch just last month, swapping the assault rifles and rocket launchers found in Fortnite for magic-based combat. The new trailer above tells us that the game will be free-to-play - although we knew that already - and you can find the new screenshots below.

Spellbreak is a AAA fantasy battle royale experience featuring epic magic combat and powerful spellcasting. Players choose a class, weave spectacular spell combinations, and fight to become an all-powerful battlemage. Featuring a deep item and class system, Spellbreak allows players to dominate the Hollow Lands as a solo competitor or conquer their foes with friends in a non-stop quest for survival.

If you want to see more of the game in action, here's the announcement trailer from last month:

The game will feature cross-play across all platforms and will launch later this year. A specific release date hasn't yet been revealed.
