If you're looking for an inspirational piece of music to wash your hands to, this'll certainly do the trick.
The New Japan BGM Philharmonic Orchestra, known for being the first professional Japanese video game music orchestra, has uploaded a performance of the classic Super Mario theme tune to promote good hand hygiene. As you may well have guessed, the video follows current coronavirus guidelines which say that you should wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds.
If you start the piece before washing your hands, you should make sure to keep washing until at least the Overworld Theme has ended (which is roughly 20 seconds in). By the time the Course Clear Fanfare has ended, you'll have been going for around 30 seconds.
Of course, in addition to washing your hands to the Mario theme, it's recommended that you keep up to date with safety precautions via official, trusted sources for your area. Still, if you can incorporate some Mario into your current safety measures, then it's even better, right?
Stay safe and well, folks. We hope you're all doing good.
Thanks to Greatsong for the tip!

It’s-a-me! The anti-bac hand wash
aw! how cute! i love.
Gonna wash my hands to Mario everyday. Thank you Nintendo theme. Greatest theme ever made.
Fun way to deliver a vital message, make sure you stay safe in these uncertain times.
This makes me think how cool it would be to have a 2D Mario with a soundtrack like this. Maybe when Nintendo gets around to doing the next 2D game...
An odd tangent, but is Ted (that Seth MacFarlane adult teddy bear movie) really popular in Japan or something?
I noticed one of the performers (the woman in the top row, second from the left) had a Ted, and whenever I play one of those online Japanese crane games (such as Toreba), they almost always have Teds as prizes (almost as prevalent as Disney & Minions related prizes, in terms of western properties).
Just find it kind of funny, since I don't see much of anything about the movies here in the US anymore (even though we're where they originated).
Cease and desist notice incoming.
My soap only kills 99.9% of bacteria
This is awesome! I might actually use this lol.
It's weird seeing Ted in a video of an orchestral version of the Mario theme that's promoting good hygiene.
We need Mario with his F.L.U.D.D
We are living in a world full of wonderful people!
Surely everyone here is vaccinated?
@Deanster101 how when its the Japanese Philharmonic and they perform the music in the game?
As a teacher, I appreciate little videos like this. I will definitely be showing this to my students tomorrow and we'll all have Mario stuck in our heads for the rest of the day.
