This week's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate spirit event is focused on all things pink. Yep, starting this Friday, and running for a total of three days, is a brand new cherry blossom spirit event. This in-game event lines up with the trees blossoming in Japan right now.
During this one, you'll be able to acquire spirits like Amy Rose from Sonic the Hedgehog, Clefairy from the Pokémon series, Paula from EarthBound and even that mildly annoying bunny from Nintendo Badge Arcade on the 3DS.
Will you be participating in this week's spirit event? Leave a comment below.

I so wish I didn't throw my Switch against the wall...now I can't work for another one until further notice...😪
@KingBowser Why did you throw it? xD Smash Bros?
PJiggles is definitely gonna be happy about this
@PieNinja Yes. Actually it was because of the complications of Joy-Con Drift in that I didn't think twice about calling Nintendo first to set up a repair. I could've also bought another one instead of just wasting $300 worth of a console. I should've thought twice, before throwing a huge tantrum
@KingBowser It's never just about the game, eh? I've been here multiple times. Snaking. Online abusers. Sure, losing too much online or a part of the game being shoddy can be deeply annoying, but other things cause that kind of rage. I'd know. Just remember how inconvenient and expensive it was, maybe put a sticker or something to remind you that it happened and to be mindful of it. Meanwhile, try to remove other stressors in your life (i.e. this is why I don't play online, I'm too competitive, and Splatoon and Smash offer 0 control over ANYTHING) and/or deal directly with whatever might be causing your anger in a constructive way.
And yes, I type this as I listen to loud crotch-rockets and glass-pack vehicles race by and can be heard from miles away late at night in this hellhole of a Texas town, only to have an internal anger boiling from people committing what is essentially rape (in a sense) and never facing consequences. Life is unfair. It will always be so. Just remember this incident as a lesson that, without constructive action, the destruction by your own hands will just magnify your problems and not solve anything.
I genuinely hope things improve for you!
(And hopefully this helps, because people are generally ignorant and hostile when they hear stories like this, to the point of being even more elitist and callous than usual. Probably some of them are the source of these very problems, so don't pay them any mind.)
Are any of these any unreleased ones?
@KingBowser Throwing a controller against a wall has been done by many, but to throw the whole console against a wall, wtf?
@mariomaster96 @lyle_catcliffe You're being rejecting, apprehensive, and unsympathetic instead of helpful in any conceivable fashion. And you're potentially creating a sense of resentment that could result in an increasingly harmful feedback loop.
Stop.
They already know it was the wrong thing to do and it's bad enough that they're down a piece of hardware. Shaming isn't going to bring it back, but resenting your ostracizing lack of empathy might be an extra reason to do it again next time.
@KingBowser86 How should i be helpful should i say something obvious like "dont throw your consoles against a wall, they can break" ?
@mariomaster96 They already know that's wrong, yes? If you can't follow simple advice without being cynical, try silence.
@KingBowser86 Well ofc he knows it wrong to throw his switch against a wall, but why post it on the internet then?
He then has to expect to get some "unhelpful" comments
If i destroyed my switch by throwing it against a wall, i would never tell anybody about it
@KingBowser86 you’re the one who mentioned r*pe on a Nintendo website, you oddball.
The only time Nintendo acknowledges the Mother series is those darn spirits smh
@lyle_catcliffe Earrape. Unwarranted and harmful physical interaction without any consent or agreement. And if "oddball" is the best you've got, can't even spell the word 'rape' without censoring yourself like an immature child, and most importantly have nothing to contribute to the discussion:
Then why are you commenting?
Answer: Attention. Ignored.
@mariomaster96 Reaching out for some kind of understanding. In today's world with too many people keeping up images fighting each other for every dollar, it's a brave person that admits that they're flawed (even if they have some anonymity behind a username).
@KingBowser86 it really be like that tho, smash online is actual garbage, it really is, but at least i have comfort in knowing in the fact that every t-bagger and troll in that game will go to hell.
@Mother_Fan Indeed - I'll never have to find out about them (the hard way) or deal with their nonsense, because I just won't play online.
@KingBowser86 but you didn’t say “earrape”, did you?
And there are other words for you - I decided upon oddball. Okay? Did you want me to crack out a thesaurus and list them all? Strange child.
@mariomaster96 I never ever would throw a controller to the wall.
