Indie publisher Devolver Digital has made a name for itself over the past few years hosting parody presentations around the time of E3. Despite taking to Twitter yesterday to tell everyone to cancel their "E3 flights and hotels" before the annual expo was officially called off, the company will still go ahead with its own plans.
It provided a brief update via Twitter - stating how it was upset by the cancellation of the event. Fortunately, a livestream and "possibly more" is on the way:
On a related note, physical publisher Limited Run Games has confirmed it will still be airing its own press conference. As usual, it will be filled with announcements about upcoming physical releases. This will take place on 8th June, via Twitch.
Will you be tuning in to either of these presentations? Leave a comment down below.

Ohh boy. I want to see what Devolver has planned for this year.
I imagine we'll be hearing similar things from most companies over the next few days.
Sweet I'm anxious to see what devolver has in store.
I love how everyone used to mock Nintendo for doing something different with online presentations back in the day. And now everyone is following Nintendo's exact methods. Crazy how things go.
Hmm.... !
Limited Run Games.
Hopefully Farm Together, A Knight's Quest will get a physical release. 😀
Everyone might as well just do their own stream event.
Actually cancelling E3 is over-reacting. The virus is engineered to kill old people, it's a boomer-virus. It's all younger crowds at E3, there's no need to panic.
I mean, you have seen the production quality of Limited Run Game's digital E3 presentations, right?
It's not like this cancellation was going to stop them.
@NoTinderLife ...
Nice!!!
Devolver Digital's presentations are always awesome.
They're like the late-night Adult Swim show of E3 week.
(However, I'm not a fan of Limited Run Games or the way they've treated customers)
I really don't care about a physical E3 event ever happening again or not, but I hope all the companies still take a week out of June to do an online presentation and make their biggest announcements of the year.
It's a yearly TRADITION to kick off Summer right, it's fine if they name it something else too.
That being said, there's a very high chance of even most online presentations not happening or being very scarce for the rest of the year, and most things planned for release this year may be delayed past 2020, the new consoles included.
The Gungeon confirmed for Smash.
Doesn't devolver digital always stream their presentation? They even have a storyline where someone died 2 years ago and they ressurected someone in the last one. It's full of bad acting.
Okay, Ubisoft, Bethesda, what will you do?
@NoTinderLife If that was an attempt at humor, it was a poor one.
This will probably be the format going forward, an all digital E3. It really has lost alot of steam recently and it will end up being cheaper in the long run. Fans and whoever they are inviting now can still get together during the event.
All I want from Limited Run is Alien:Isolation and GRID Motorsport physical editions....and maybe Bulletstorm.
