Whether or not you've been excited about the release of the DLC multiplayer pack for Luigi's Mansion 3 on the Nintendo Switch, it's now been released on the eShop.
This first part adds three "bone-chilling" new costumes (Mummigi, The Green Knight, Groovigi) that Luigi can wear in the ScareScaraper mode and also includes some matching spooky themes that will randomly transform the appearance of the tower's floors. There are also themed ghosts to encounter. Take a look below:
In addition to this, the ScreamPark mode gets three new mini-games: DodgeBrawl, River Bank, and Tricky Ghost Hunt. To gain access to the first part, you'll have to purchase the entire DLC Pack for $9.99 (or the regional equivalent) from the Nintendo Switch eShop.
The second part of this DLC will be released by the end of July and will include three new mini-games for ScreamPark mode, three new Scarescraper outfits with matching floor themes and ghosts. If you purchase this DLC, you'll also receive an in-game Polterpup light called the 'Flashlight Type-P' as a special bonus. It can be used in Story Mode or ScareScraper.
Have you tried out part one of this DLC yet? What are your thoughts so far? Tell us below.

Well, that's a nice surprise! Even though I'm trying to save my money for greater things.
Doesn't really seem worth $15AUD. I'm happy with the base game as is.
too bad Luigi can't wear those costumes in story mode. just imagine Groovigi on the dance floor and Mummigi exploring the pyramid. as well as The Green Knight exploring the castle grounds on his way to a boss fight.
@stevenw45 I would love that. This is a game I'm probably going to play every October and having something like a new costumer for a future play-through would be greatly appreciated.
Can't wait to play this coop addon. This is one of the best games ever made. It's coop is amazing.
I need this game already...
Thought this was coming in April, nice surprise!
I had some brief fun with the base game Screampark, but it definitely didn’t hook me and my buds. I’m hoping these new minis are a little more substantial. Tempted to purchase...
Also agree that it’d be so rad to use these outfits in story mode!
I havent played it yet, will def get this later.
@Chowdaire
I play the original every October. I still enjoying Luigi's Mansion 3 enough to continue playing it every few days.
they definitely need to add new costumes in story mode for Luigi to wear; at least when you play the game a second time around. Luigi needs to be groovy on the dance floor, be a pirate, and a knight. he needs to be able to direct his own movie or at least be able to finish the first one for if you vacuum up the director before he ends up putting the film together.
Nintendo, said that we would be able to watch watch and re-watch the final boss floor on the movie set as much as we want but somehow the movie never got spliced together for viewing. besides other scenes that Luigi and Gooigi have stared in should be watchable as well. that would be a nice bonus for nintendo to add.
it would also be nice to have additional extras for story mode, like the ability to play it through as peach, Mario, Wario, Toad, or Waluigi. each of the characters having their own strengths and weaknesses.
for example, Wario finds a lot more gold than the other, however he can't move as fast as the others. toad can run much faster than the others, however at times he tends to be dragged around by the ghosts that he is trying to capture.
Peach at times may be weaker, however her health restores itself on its own at a slow pace. Waluigi, can sneak around without be noticed by ghosts that he is trying to track down; like those troublesome boos we need to capture.
@stevenw45 You can actually watch the movie the director ghost made later on, but it requires you to let him finish editing rather than going into his room and capturing him right away
I haven't played the game, but in all the talk I have heard about LM3, nobody talks about ScreamPark. Is it that noteworthy of a mode?
Why are the 8 player games in Luigi's Mansion so bad?
I love, and play, a ton of 8-player games on switch and the first round of 8-player games in Luigi's Mansion is easily the worst 8-player content on the console. I can't imagine paying for more.
I'm glad to see them giving this game good post-launch support, but I can't help but feel like focusing on the multiplayer is an enormous waste of time. Nobody buys this game for its multiplayer, so why add more content to a mode that's viewed as supplementary at best?
I doubt I'll be returning for this, I enjoyed the main game but don't feel it's as good as the original with a bit too much unnecessary padding discouraging me from replaying and the completely meaningless Boos and gems. Shame as some of the floors are genuinely brilliant such as the film director and I really wish the pirate stage was longer
@SwitchVogel Pretty much how I feel. The multiplayer is fun, but ultimately not something that would make me return to the game. Extra floors would be welcome though. I quite enjoyed 3 compared to 2/Dark Moon. First game is still the best for me though.
Guess I'll buy 🤷♂️
nice hair luigi
@SinnohGeek i know, but i keep capturing that ghost too soon. Luigi needs to be able processing the film on his own.
the first time i played the game all the way through, i forgot to capture him all together. and yet the last time i played, i played out the boss battle in a manor so grand that it can be watched time and time again with enjoyment and unfortunately captured the ghost right afterwards forgetting about the video and its processing time.
do you or anyone else know how long it takes for the ghost to finish processing the film? it would be nice to know for the next time i play the game all the way through.
If it beefs up ScareScraper, I'm down. Does this add more boss ghosts? I already collected the previous ones.
I'm definitely interested in this. Everyone's making it out that the multiplayer isn't good. Is that a vocal minority or the general consensus?
I loved LM3, but is there really enough of a demand for an expanded multiplayer mode?
@sixrings I was surprised by how addictive and fun the multiplayer was in this game... with that said I didn't buy the game for multiplayer and unfortunately it's not something I see myself going back to with so much other online competition in this day and age. Loved it for the first month or so but now that I'm out, im out.
@Chowdaire would be good for a nooby lan party or do you need to play through the actual game to know the mechanics.
@sixrings Game is extremely easy to understand. Some people might have some growing pains with how Luigi turns but I don't think it would be too detrimental to a beginners' experience.
@stevenw45 You'll know he's done with the film if he's sitting off to the side relaxing instead of editing at his desk. I don't know exactly when but he should be done by the time you're up to the final boss.
@SinnohGeek
i know that he is finished with the film once he is relaxing in his chair instead of his usual standing in front of the projecter editing the film.
as far as how long it takes for him to finish editing the film; i decided to start the game from the beginning to find out. it seems as though the director is done editing the film once you capture Polterkitty and put the stolen button back in the elevator.
unfortunatly the movie shown is only in black and white and is generic movie, which is a bummer since you get to have all that fun facing the ghosts on that floor and killing of a Godzilla look-a-like monster.
Nintendo needs to update the game so that the director saves all of the footage that Luigi and gooigi filmed or stared in. we go through all of this work with only a elevator button (that gets stolen) to show for it.
