Update 2: The full patch notes have now been released and the update should now be available for all users.
Update - Tue 18th Feb, 2020 03:30 GMT: After removing its "worth the wait" comments on its official VK social Media page, Saber's patch for the Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition has started to roll out in certain regions.
Players in South Korea can reportedly update the game to Version 3.6. According to details from Nintendo Everything (via Reddit), the update appears to deliver on its promises - adding save compatibility with the PC version of the game, and the ability to adjust, enable and disable various graphical options to get a clearer image.
When we get more information about the Switch version's latest patch, we'll be sure to let you know.
Original Article - Tue 18th Feb, 2020 01:15 GMT: Remember how Saber Interactive said it was working on an update for its Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition that would be worth the wait? Well, according to Wccftech - the same source that originally shared this news - all references to this update have now been removed from Saber's official VK social Media page.
The only remaining Witcher 3 reference is a post from 27th January, which directs users to CD Projekt Red's official support page for all inquiries about the game. Prior to this, modders had reportedly discovered additional graphics options for the title around the time of the Switch release, leading to theories it would be receiving a major update, rather than a minor one.
If we hear anything else, we'll let you know. Until then, feel free to speculate in the comments about why Saber removed this post.

Still a great game as is, no huge update needed.
@AlexSwitch10 What you said. I’m level 25 and having an amazing time. Only had I think 1-2 crashes in 80-90 hours, and only roach glitches... plus 1 boat in Skellige. Lol. Just amazing and brilliant game.
I'm so in love with the Switch that I'm ditching my PC that can plau this at 4k with 300 hours on dial. I'm looking forward to beating this game in its entirety on the Switch.
@siouxrunner15 Monster detail during battle, and scenic views are the only major things missing going from 4k to 720p on Handheld. Still so beautiful even dialed down.... that’s crazy
@Dm9982 @AlexSwitch10 I basically 3rd that. I'm on Blood and Wine and still enjoying this after over 200 hours.
@Dm9982 so much love went into this port, that's why I'm glued to it.
@siouxrunner15 So true, I’d say nearly as much love from Saber went into porting it as CDPR had creating it.
Patch 3.6 for Witcher 3 (KOREAN VER.) has been released
I hope that new patch for US version is going be released soon.
FYI, graphics are improved (minor) and you can share the saved data with STEAM/GOG (I don't know what GOG is though) version.
Some guy posted the difference of the graphics so please kindly go to the following link for the reference.

@sdfkj213 Good Old Games. CD Projekt's great PC game distribution platform that allows you to download DRM free versions of games.
Cross-save is EXACTLY what I need to justify getting the Switch version.
I wish so badly this game had cross save with xbox and ps4.
I'm not interested in starting over on switch but I'd definitely buy it and continue.
This has already been reported by other sites days ago🤔
@JudgeMethos Has it? i'm only seeing sites talk about it now, not days ago
I completed the main game and Hearts of Stone. I was kind of guessing cross save would come, so did not want to start Blood and Wine. Hopefully now I can import the Switch save to Steam and play it on PC with prettier graphics.
I just tried to change my Nintendo account region to South Korea so I can update the game but it requires you to verify your identity through a seperate website. I've never seen that before.
@OorWullie
Korea demands identify verification for any Korean online site/service/etc, it's weird.
Also updates aren't locked behind what country of accounts you have.
You won't be able to update until there's an update released for your version, the issue is that there's 12 different versions of Witcher 3, and if it's not showing an update, your one doesn't have the update yet. So you'd need one of the Korean versions, or to wait, unfortunately.
@bluesun Cheers for the info. Hopefully it's just a matter of days until it arrives here. I bought my copy of The Witcher 3 in The Netherlands and play it on my Japanese Switch through my UK Nintendo account while living in Thailand.
Nintendolife: in South Korea "reportedly" there is an update to Version 3.6
It must be so difficult to check if this is true! Why don't you just simply create korean account and start Witcher game to verify...
@OorWullie
Must be glad for region-free Switches then
@wildbob
It's not that simple, there's 12 versions sold in different countries around the world.
Updates are based on the game version, rather than the country.

Update from 02/14/2020
CD Projekt Red has given the all-clear for GamePro.de regarding the update for the switch version of The Witcher 3. This was "not canceled" and would "appear promptly".
https://www.gamepro.de/artikel/the-witcher-3-verwirrung-um-update,3354258.html
Crossave and AA disable option?
Now I’m buying.
@bluesun
There are more than 12. In the EU there are Polish and Hungarian versions too.
I'm glad it's cleaning up the blurriness a bit, it's prevented me playing the game. I was holding out to buy a new pc even though I already bought the game for my switch. It's just too muddy and blurry compared to the job my pc can do with a gtx1050, a very budget graphics card.
Hopefully it does indeed look sharper and I can really enjoy it on switch!
I decided to leave the game for a bit and wait for this. Very excited to see what they have done, hopefully a UK roll out happens soon. 🤞🏻
@OorWullie ibhad to read that 3 times to make sure it made sense to me XD
Wow that looks way better. I’m interested now
@OorWullie Pleasepleaseplease tell me you're also from a completely different country than the four you've mentioned!
OMG that patch is like porn to my ears.
PC saves on Switch - exactly what I needed.
Tweak graphics - exactly what I wanted.
Removing the blur at the cost of some jaggies, well yes please. I know what I'll be doing while lying outside this summer...
@Dwarfette Well if Scotland had voted for independence I could have said I was haha.
Patch has gone live!
These guys know how to do the game business! Hitting buy. Can't wait to load my GOG save from beginning of Blood and Wine. And there is this 30% sale to make me smile while spending money.
Patch in now live (at least here in austria/germany)
Live in the UK now and having fun trying to play around with the settings to get the best out the graphics. If anybody has some tips that would be great 👍🏻
Update is live, UK version. Waiting for download then will try out the graphics settings
Anyone know if its live in the US?
@Moonlessky
Not live in the US yet. I just checked. Hopefully it goes live soon! I love to play around with settings in a game like that just to see what I can do to make it play how I want it to play.
@Highlar thanks for telling me, hopefully its automatically downloaded while im at work
Disable AA + sharpness on high: infinitely better than vanilla.
Who else is Australian and yet to receive the patch?
60 hours in, and I've crashed nearly 20 times...love the game otherwise, but this patch is welcomed.
Much improved. PC cloud save integration is genius. But, there must be something wrong with me.... I turned AA back on. : /
I downloaded this on 3g yesterday on the train on my way home. Well worth using all my allowance, as far as I can see with everything turned off (and keeping foliage as high) it seems to be pretty consistently sticking at or near 720p in handheld. The difference is like night and day, I can't believe the decision was made to keep these graphic options on initially and get a blurry picture as the trade off. Seems crazy to me. Post processing effects are pretty much irrelevant when you're playing the game, however a blurry picture is actually noticable while playing. I kept feeling like my eyes were losing focus when playing the game previously.
@jcvandan The difference is stark. I do think it chews through the battery quicker now though, although I'd like to see some metrics on that, as I could be imagining it.
Maybe these set of graphical options were always on their roadmap but they didn't consider a blocker to the initial release, I'm speculating of course.
@Rich10 yes I did actually notice that my switch was warmer than usual and after an hour it had used half of the battery so it does look like it's using more power. Maybe they have added some extra use of the CPU overclocking along with the graphics options. I'll take less battery life for the improved resolution anyway!
@jcvandan It's almost enough to make me consider a Switch V2 ... almost.
Superb without the update, incredible with the update! The textures and graphics are now much improved. I can see more devs doing this. Release with the downgraded graphics and then update through a patch. Still obv a downgrade but once again shows what can be done on Switch with care and attention. Bodes well for a continuation of quality ports.
