One of Pokémon Sword and Shield's coolest new monsters is about to receive its very own Gigantamax form, and you'll be able to get your hands on one very soon indeed.
We're talking, of course, about Toxtricity. The new form for the Electric and Poison-type monster has been revealed in the video above - you can see it in action as four players try to take it down for the capture.
This new form of Toxtricity will be appearing in Raid Battles from 00:00 UTC on 7th February until 9th March 9th 2020. If you're wanting to add this special 'Mon to your team, make sure to jump into the game within that time frame.
Gigantamax Toxtricity
Type: Electric/Poison
Height: 78'9"+
Weight: ??? lbs.
Ability: Punk Rock / Plus / Minus
Electric-type moves used by Gigantamax Toxtricity will change to G-Max Stun Shock. G-Max Stun Shock not only deals damage but also poisons or paralyzes all opponents.
What do you think? Do you like the design? Let us know if you'll be catching one in the comments below, and make sure to vote for your 'Pokémon of the Year' if you haven't done so already.

Need to try to game with an open mind.
This isn't exactly a new Gigantamax form, we've known about it for a while
Even still, I love his design and hopefully will be able to snag one
Technically yes we've known about it because of dataminers and hackers, but otherwise it's still "new" to the game and anyone who doesn't follow the common leaks.
Glad this is my first time seeing and knowing about this.
My favorite Sw/Sh pokémon, I'll definitely try to catch a few
@ToonStuff people who follow datamines know, but not all fans do. This is the first time it’s been revealed by Nintendo.
EVERY. TEAM. EVER. has a toxtricity.
Too bad I already have my Toxtricity, not gonna give it up for a new one at this point.
@link3710 This is the biggest problem with G-Max.. had the same issue with my Lapras..
@link3710 Same problem here, I think you should earn an item that lets you turn your regular Toxtricity into a G-Max one.
@wazlon It sounds like that's what the DLC will do anyways (at least for the starters, but maybe more?) so I'm just gonna wait and see if Toxtricity can get it through there.
YEEESSS, my favorite mon of this generation. Very useful in many situations.
Plus, the guitar smashing is something I didn't know I wanted in my pokemon.
Toxtricity and Rillaboom are going to be a good duo for me...
Need some gmax stone or whatever that lets you turn your regular pkmn into gmax versions. Its hard to give one up just for a gmax one. Sue me for getting attached to my pkmn
Looks cool, I’ll definitely collect a few.
Probably my favorite Pokémon from SwSh. I can run through 5-star max raid battles with him easy. Excited there will be a Gigantamax version but I’ll probably stick my regular one. Sometime they are more effective in their regular state.
I need this in my collection. It won't happen but damn I want this shiny!!! Toxtricity is one of my favourites of the new batch of Pokemon!!!
Damn, just when I thought I had the perfect Toxtricity... they just made it obsolete. Hopefully this one comes with five perfect stats.
Looks pretty sweety. I'm a suckered for poison type.
I like how it incorporates both forms in its design. The apple dragons didn't do it that well.
I'm glad we get more free Gmax forms, but I'd love to have a way to get it on my team pokemon. You know, the ones I care about because I played the whole game with them.
@JesWood13 Ehh, probably not obsolete. Punk Rock is still a really good ability that buffs Boomburst's base power to 182, higher than any GMax move. Toxtricity's GMax Stun Shock is an Electric move that can get up to 140 BP (before STAB, which does make it stronger than Boomburst) and can either poison or paralyze opponents. I think your GMax slot is still better used on someone else.
Is it just me, or have these G-Max Events felt like they just go by really fast? As for G-Max Toxtricity... it's another G-Max form that's arguable worse than a regular, Dynamaxed one so I'm not too excited TBH. Setting up Electric Terrain is more useful than an RNG Status effect, especially when one of them is just Poison and not Badly Poisoned.
Completely unrelated, but I wish Toxtricity got more than 2 good sound-based Moves.
I’m collecting one of each ability. Still don’t have G-Max Gengar hopefully not too long till it’s rotated in.
Behold the Lizard King! The king of punk!!!!
Definitely deserves a spot on my team
I love those punks, can’t wait to snag two.
