Future Press. That's cool. Cover design is brutal to look at though.
I'm glad these guides still exist in the era of online wikis etc. I know they are out of date by the time they are printed but I will always be a sucker for physical over online.
That being said a guide would pretty much ruin the main element of Animal Crossing - the joy of finding something new and unexpected.
Here for the complaints
Problem these days is that they become incomplete once DLC is released.
£25?!
We could almost buy our own ship for that!
@gcunit "But who's gonna fly it, kid? You?!" "You bet! I'm not such a bad pilot myself. We don't have to sit here, and listen to this..." (Old Ben motions for Luke to settle down, & sit down.)
Nice one, on your part!
Do these books include a check list for all the items to collect?
I loved doing that back in the GC days!!
@Emperor-Palpsy I mean, how many of these guides were complete back then? They'd always be based on pre-release builds and be missing things or mention things that don't exist.
Hurray! Blathers is my avatar as Nintendo doesn't have a Wario one for some reason...
I know the museum feature hasn't been announced yet, but did you really think that it wasn't going to exist? C'mon guys...
Cute... but it comes out like 3 weeks after the game so I’m gonna pass.
@DAHstroy I think you have a point on some level that yes, maybe we should assume the feature would be back.
But on the other hand, this is Nintendo we are talking about. They are notorious for scrapping features and mechanics in order to try new ones out. So I think with that in mind, it's worth mentioning and confirming for those who like the museum features
What about Europe? I can't find it anywhere.
It's nice that these exist, but I will probably just stick to the wiki if I really need to look something up.
@DAHstroy With the Dexit, as well as the maps that didn't make the cut in Smash Ultimate, really, you can't blame anyone for being afraid of the museum's removal, because Nintendo is becoming notorious for removing stuff in new releases.
@msvt - GC AC was the best AC and the guidebook was a masterpiece.
@DAHstroy
I think at this point people were getting scared that the museum was going to be paid DLC 😉.
@Emperor-Palpsy but its not like animal crossing is known for pumping out dlc, so this guide should be good for a while.
@SuperToe
Yesss!!!!!! Totally agree. I recently restarted GC AC with a printed checklist from the internet (gamefaqs, i think). Such a different game, it is a total joy!!
Is this book the same thing as that checklist guidebook though?
@msvt - It sounds like it may have a checklist component according to the retail description: "the ultimate reference for anyone who insists on having it all". So, maybe.
