The Animal Crossing: New Horizons goodies just keep coming, this time thanks to a bumper reveal of new products from accessory maker, Hori.
The company has announced six new items which are due to be released in March, around the release of the upcoming Switch game itself. Below, you'll find a Nintendo Switch Lite cover, a Nintendo Switch storage bag with room for your dock and other bits and bobs, a hand pouch, a tote bag, a shoulder bag, and a play stand for tabletop sessions.
All six products are officially licensed and are available to pre-order as we speak from Amazon Japan via the links below (international shipping is available). Earlier this week, New Horizons pre-order bonuses also started to appear in the UK with keyrings, a tote bag, and a sticker set all available.
Amazon Japan:
- Nintendo Switch Lite cover
- Nintendo Switch storage bag
- Switch hand pouch
- Tote bag
- Shoulder bag
- Nintendo Switch Playstand

Reminds of me the free cases that Nintendo UK Store would provide with Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer.
I can see these being sold in bundles with New Horizons, at launch or in future promotions.
Having a dedicated carry case for the Switch dock and its accessories is particularly nice.
I loved my ACNL 3DS edition wish I never sold it
I like the Switch Cover. Closest thing we can get to game-themed Switch Lite versions. Still going to be surprised if AC doesn’t get a special edition Switch Lite ala Pokémon Sword/Shield.
Really love that hand pouch
Looks good and all but what I like more is "SteelCase" got so many extras like this - is good but common SteelCase...
The shoulder bag is especially adorable. I don't carry my Switch around all that much and when I do I already have a Squid bag, but darned if it isn't lovely.
@Welshland same! I make a decent profit off mine, but actually I wish I still had it
I held on to my gold Link Between Worlds one. But honestly I liked the AC one better.
very cute stuff! i love the poptart aesthetic these ac patterns have. hoping we get an ac themed switch announced eventually
@Welshland,
It's getting closer all the time.
@johnvboy; 20/03 will soon be here mate and I can't wait. AC along with Pikmin are my favourite games. I hope they add a feature like the GameCube version of the game where they added SNES games that could be played on the GBA. That was a cool feature
@Welshland,
Never got into Pikmin myself, there may be a Wii U port incoming for the Switch.
I want the green one for the regular Switch. These are very cool.
That Switch Lite soft case actually looks kinda nice, but I already got a good case.
When is Nintendo going to announce the AC special edition Switch Lite. You know they are going to do it. You know we will buy it. Maybe at the next direct??
everything i out of stock way to waste everyones time nintendo life
@ryancraddock Accesories? Missing an S somewhere? I didn't want to be that guy, but hey, too late...
@WiltonRoots I can't believe this article's been up for so long and no one had mentioned it until now, haha!
Thanks for letting me know, that's fixed now. 😅
@embison If I had to bet, I’d probably say they’re going to do an AC-themed standard Switch rather than a Lite, since they are pushing the local co-op angle quite a bit (if I’m not mistaken, there is only one save file per console, and each user is a human villager on the same island). Considering that the Lite has a smaller screen, doesn’t dock, has no kickstand and no detachable joy-cons, it would make couch co-op nearly impossible. It just seems weird to sell the game with a version of the console that is pretty much unable to carry out one of the new key gameplay features.
Hope these release in the West, Canada specifically. I don't want these to be Japanese exclusives.
