First revealed at the start of the year, Nintendo's first ever store in Japan (nope, we can't believe it either) is set to open its doors next month. Ahead of the grand opening, the house of Mario has shared just some of the exclusive items shoppers can hope to pick up.
Fittingly called Nintendo Tokyo, the store will be based in the city's new Shibuya Parco shopping centre, not too far away from Shibuya's famous crossing. It'll be on the sixth floor of the centre selling games and merchandise and even letting players go hands-on with major releases such as new title, Ring Fit Adventure.
You can check out some of the things you'll be able to buy in the image above; there are t-shirts, bags, stickers, postcards, notebooks, towels, stationery, and even chocolate.
The store opens on 22nd November; here's hoping its first few days aren't quite as hectic as those seen at London's Pokémon Center.
As if Japan needed to get any cooler, huh?

And still no Daisy. Well, at least she greets you when you land in Tokyo’s airport
About time, I didnt know didnt even have one
No Kirby merchandise even though they love Kirby over there?
Also I get that Metroid isn’t famous at Japan but can we all press F for respect to our favourite bounty hunter...
Well, that's cause the Nintendo Store in NY used to be a Pokemon Center, and they've got tons of those.
intersting how they're still using that weird hd version of TP link from the switch icons
Umm, well, the Isabelle/Villager tote looks interesting! (That's about it...)
Despite the simple design I still wouldn't mind getting one of those shirts...
Ahh, I’d love to go to Japan but it costs a bloody fortune to get flights out there. Might try and get my industrial placement over there but then I’d need to speak more Japanese than tourist phrases. Dang.
Will def visit next year
Still no store in the UK. Even with the madness around the pop-up Pokemon store.
.............Why must Japan get the best stuff?
@Grandiajet maybe you should open one and earn some dough lol
They didn't before? Oh that's right! Their club was never awful and gave their members awesome swag.
@BoyfriendOfDeath Most of it is made there
I'll take one of everything that has Yoshi on it please.
Man, to be a person living in Japan though...
Can we get a couple more in the states pleaseeee???
@Chunkboi79 Right? Not all of us live in NYC.
Fun Fact!
Nintendo has three stores in the world.
1st - New York (USA)
2nd - Tel Aviv (Israel)
3rd - Tokyo (Japan)
Two things link these three cities:
Nintendo and... Sushi!
New York and Tel Aviv have the most sushi restaurants of any cities outside of Japan. And Tokyo has the most sushi restaurants in the world.
Maybe that’s why Nintendo chose them? Gotta get that sushi fix!
I still want a Nintendo store on the European mainland. Preferably in Western Europe.
@DeltaPeng The one time imported a Japanese amiibo, it had "Made in China" printed on it
@BoyfriendOfDeath The US has 2 Nintendo stores (though the one in Redmond is employees-only, but the public one in New York is bigger.)
Seeing Link in Nintendo promotional art like this with the more cartoony characters is kind of jarring here.
Kirby is mysteriously absent in the official promo art!
Also interesting that green Link is here instead of BOTW Link.
I'm actually more amazed one hasn't already existed for some time now lol
That’s pretty cool. I shopped at Nintendo New York during my vacation in New York. It was awesome to see all that merchandise.
they need to put one in LA.
@Kienda There's also an official Nintendo store in Seoul, Korea that was actually the second one opened. Everyone forgets about it for some reason, probably because it is small and not that interesting, haha.
I'll definitely be going there, but I'm sure the products will be way overpriced. There's a popular chain store in Japan called Aeon that I work at on Wednesdays and they had a Zelda tote bag that I waited to be reduced in price for over a year before finally buying it. The original price was 4,000 yen!!!
Kinda off topic, but I'm excited for the Nintendo Land in Universal Studios.
@Logan-Japan Overprice much..?
C'monnnnnn Nintendo, open one of these in Sapporo so I don't have to worry about having disposable spending money in my wallet ever again.
@tux_peng
...well, either the manufacturing was made in China.....or you've unfortunately got yourself a bootleg copy
