Developer ChillyRoom's roguelike dungeon crawler Soul Knight is headed to Nintendo Switch. You'll be able to pick it up this week in North America, and early next month in Europe.
The game originally launched on mobile platforms back in February 2017, tasking players with collecting weapons, dodging bullets, and shooting bad guys. It features an arsenal of exotic weapons, a retro-inspired, pixelated art style, and electro sound effects, as well as the following features:
Features:
* Unique heroes, with unique abilities.
* 170+ weapons waiting for you to explore.
* Randomly generated dungeon world, new experience every time.
* NPCs that actually matter! They will fight by your side!
* Auto-aim mechanism for super intuitive control.
* Many more features that you will find out in the game.
Soul Knight was originally a freemium-style game on smartphones, but the Switch version will be priced at $11.99 / €10.99. For that price, players will get all the content that made it into the game before its 2019 Easter Update (version 2.1.0) and all 14 characters; all items in the lobby, character upgrades and skins can be unlocked with gems.
North American players can pick this one up on 19th September; European and Australian players can grab it from 4th October.
What do you think? One you'll be keeping an eye on, or not for you? Tell us below.

The problem with Enter The Gungeon is that I’ll probably never need another game like it (even though I’ve unlocked almost everything), just because it’s soooo good it’s hard for another game to top it.
I thought a game needed to be a dungeon crawler to be a rogue like.
What an original title.
Next up:
Dildo Knight.
@clvr I'll look at some footage before making the decision to rival Gungeon.
@tendonerd it started out that way, but nowadays all a game needs to feature to be a roguelike is permadeath and randomly/procedurally generated levels.
@Reigestugatensho I’ve watched the trailer and it looks okay, but it didn’t really grab my attention.
@clvr
Actually that would be the bare minimum required to make it a roguelite.
I have this game on my phone and it's actually a lot of fun. I feel like weapons are much easier to get a hold of which gives it a lot of variety. The level design and enemies can get a little repetitive though. For basically a copy of Enter the Gungeon, it's a pretty solid copy and if I were you I'd atleast try the game on mobile or pick it up on sale.
I have been following this game since it was released. It’s a freaking BLAST, the multiplayer on mobile is super fun, the weapons are so much fun to collect, and there’s so many monsters, guns and other things. On mobile, it’s not ptw, you can buy skins, and characters, but you can buy tickets at the shop to use whatever character you want for 1 round, for in game currency. I always wished it was on switch and VOILA It ACTUALLY HAPPENED. So so hyped
I so cannot stand the term roguelike. It is nothing like Rogue. Like calling GTA a mariolike because you can run and jump in it.
@Varazadi which comment?
Also I haven’t, as I said I’ve watched the trailer but it didn’t grab my attention; I’m sure it’s a good game.
I’ve just stated my opinion, not a fact, how can it be untrue?
The game is totally totally AWSOME, collected all in mobile version (except buyable character). But The Switch seem to doesn't have local multiplayer, hope Nintendo will add that later. But 12$ for full unlock? take my money!
@Varazadi also my opinion 🤷🏼♂️
I’ve never said it’d apply to everyone.
i think the auto aim, melee weapons, and more available familiars should make it interesting/distinct enough to consider even if you already have enter the gungeon. i wonder about the rpg ui though and how significant it is.
The shop says handheld only, that would be stupid if true.
@clvr Nuclear Throne says hello.
I like this one pretty well and it will play better on switch than phone.
The sound quality and translation better be improved for that asking price.
