UK chart data is now in for the week ending 11th May, revealing that the new Switch release of Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package has debuted at number 15.
It was another quiet week at retail this week, with all of the top six staying in exactly the same positions as last week. Things were pretty close across the board, though; GamesIndustry.biz reports that the top 40 games were only separated by 12,500 units.
Here's a look at this week's top twenty all formats chart (physical sales only):

Number 15 seems like such a disappointing launch...but you have to consider that it's a 2011 game which has a newer and superior sequel already out on every other console/PC.
If developers complain that they literally got free money for re-releasing something this old then I'm gonna start having my doubts that they actually care about putting out their titles on Switch for the fanbase. Next week's headline will be something along the lines of "developer doesn't want to put Saint's Row 4 on Switch because the demand isn't there".
Also, MK11 for Switch entered the charts on 7th place, which to isn't too bad.
Decent debut especially with being this late to the Switch party.
It's been succesful for 26 months...and just now they're coming with a 8 year old port. Business sense is hard to teach apparently.
Saints Row nice game but too expensive IMO
Good return. For all the complaints about old games being made portable, if they keep making money on them they’ll keep making them.
I'm pleasantly surprised to even see it crack 15. I'm enjoying the game as much as I did 8 years ago, and having it portable is a boon.
@AlohaPizzaJack does it play well I’m seeing so many conflicting reviews
Split second port please
@Varkster
I don't know about SR4 being superior, personally I prefer 3.
When you look at that purple game cover, you will think Saints Row Third is a serious gangster game. The truth is they are nuts, I mean Bugs Bunny level type of nuts. People who had never played this game will be fooled by that cover. This game is insane.
That’s got to be a decent return if they kept realistic expectations. Would have sank without trace on Wii U! Hit the top10 on the eShop too, got to be a good sign.
@IHateTombs wolf looks great on switch (better than doom imo)
@Gs69 Yeah, I've enjoyed it. There's more going on in the over world than LA Noire, there's tons of activities to do, and lots of upgrades. It's just a fun game overall.
@AlohaPizzaJack I’ve been on the fence about it but I like the look of it probably get it this weekend. I presume you mean like gta where you don’t have to do the missions you can just go and cause some chaos
@Gs69 Yup, you can do what you like. More activities open up after doing a few main missions, but there’s plenty. It’s got an income mechanic like Godfather or Fable, as well. Buy some shops/property and you’ll start raking in money. Having the DLC is fun; Nothing like destroying a rival gang operation with the tank or VTOL
I think it will well defecent for a long time, and it deserves to - SR3 is a good action game and the port seems to be high quality.
@Gs69 - yep. There are optional side missions to do like stealing certain cars or assassinations, but also things to stumble over as you explore. Buy shops, customise cars, attack gangs etc.
As for reviews - the graphics aren't amazing and won't blow you away, but they're perfectly serviceable. Can't say framerate or slowdown has bothered me either. You're usually too busy to worry!
Aiming your weapons is a touch annoying, trying to be accurate but you can alter the speed in settings. In eight hours play I've had two crashes, both when accessing my crib.
Basically, if you aren't just looking for a game to 'wow' you visually, if the premise sounds like fun then go for it.
@Gs69 - I read conflicting reviews, but then went ahead and purchased. I've only played it docked so far, but didn't have any issues. I hope Saints Row 4 is released later down the road. That was the first Saints game I played and I loved it. This one appears to have the same type of humor in it so I've enjoyed my first couple hours so far.
How is GTA V still in the top 10? Doesn't everyone in the UK own 3 copies by now?
Announced: "Most will not care to play this"... You a troll!
Release Numbers: Most did not care to play this... 🙄
Now The Switch has the lowest rated SR3 version of all consoles. And Zodiac Age manage enough excitement to be gone after a week.
Publishers with the logic that if you can port it "cheap enough" you can squeeze a buck out of it on Switch - Usually ends well for players
I'm wondering if there isn't some international mandate out there that requires everyone to re-purchase GTA V after so many months.
@Varkster "seems like such a disappointing launch...but you have to consider that it's a 20XX game which has a newer and superior sequel already out on every other console/PC."
Worst part is that can more or less be said for literally every port of a game to a Nintendo console since the Wii days.
@Varkster I think it's commonly thought that the third one was the best of the bunch.
@LuciferOnReddit I'm with you, pre-ordered on eshop but waiting for the patch to drop.
Never played it on another platform and want my first play to be on the improved version.
