If you've been eyeing off the pinball-themed game Senran Kagura: Peach Ball since the western release for Nintendo Switch was confirmed last week, you might also be interested to know there are no intentions to censor this localised version arriving in the summer.
In a reply to a fan over on Twitter, publisher Marvelous said the western release would be "content complete as per the original Japanese release". As previously noted, North America will receive a limited edition physical release, available at select retailers.
Senran Kagura: Peach Ball was originally revealed for Japan in August 2017, when the series' producer of the Senran Kagura franchise explained how it was a project he had always wanted to do.
Are you glad to hear censorship won't be a concern with this game? Tell us down below.

"But won't anyone think of the children??" - Sony
I don't see why it would be censored in the first place, considering how liberal Nintendo has become about adult content in games published on its system, and how Senran games (barring the recent one on PS4), aside from messing with the character ages, have generally been uncut in the West.
A MIGHTY VICTORY
Good. For those who dislike the content or find it inappropriate, you simply need not buy the game.
While I personally am not particularly interested in this game, I often find the hypocrisy of western censors quite annoying. Many whine of overly sexualized women and perverted Japanese culture while being completely okay with intense portrayals of violence and completely ignore how common full blown sex scenes are in western media.
If I do not like the content in a game, movie, show or book, I don't buy it. If I had children and did not want them to see certain content, I would not buy it for them. Games, movies TV and even books generally have a rating on them for a reason. And if they don't Google exists and it is very easy to find relevant information.
That's how my parents raised me, and it is how I would raise my children.
insert random hate about Senran Kagura
I assumed as much. Censoring it would have made no sense.
Good, censorship sucks!
@ReaderRagfish Clearly she's from the planet Bunny-pia 4. Come now, you should know this sort of thing! It is common knowledge. Just like cat-girls come from Nekopia! And we musn't forget about the bunnymen and Mancats as well, though they certainly are less popular.
@Heavyarms55 Not nearly as unpopular as the Cheetahmen and the Lionmen.
Censorship sucks regardless what it is. It’s just a game, I don’t take it seriously.
@Charlie_Girl I'm not gonna be able to sleep now. Thanks.
Why are they dressed as furries though?
@Heavyarms55 I am comment number 17 and I fully agree with comment number 5.
@Kirby_Girl That accusation is unjust and uncalled for. Next time you want to insult me, at least have the guts to actually tag me directly. If you disagree with my comment for some reason, which you have every right to, at least have the maturity to actually argue the point and keep your baseless accusation and insults to yourself!
@Cosats I appreciate your mentioning this to me.
I can't wait for this game.
I don't really see the appeal in ogling cartoon characters, especially high school ones, but I'm glad this isn't being censored for the people who care. As heavyarm said, if you don't like it don't buy it. It's not for us and that's okay.
Is it because it’s not on PS4?
@Heavyarms55 Get over yourself. I wasn't targeting any particular poster. lol.
@Xaessya Haruka had an accident and the girls are slowlyvturning into animals. And to cure them you have to play pinball and hit them with the ball.
Hope I'm able to import the American retail release.
@Kirby_Girl Then don't blast a public comment followed by a condescending tone at the legitimate news (its not not-news just because you don't see value in it) that this game won't be censored in a time where things are getting Politically Corrected (see: silenced in a fascist manner) left and right in order to appease hypocritical ****s.
And as for giant judgy face, you're being as sexist and hateful as the people you despise.
Hypocrites.
That said, I'm all about cute girls and pinball videogames, but this one's a little furry and has a bit too much not-actual-pinball for my own personal taste. Hope it's enjoyable to others - back to Kirby's Pinball Land for me!
@KingBowser86 who hail from Thundera!
@KingBowser86 In free mode atleast you can use other costums. You don't need to use their animal outfits. As for the not actually pinball bits, its just what you find in every Senran Kagura game. (Story mode with story segments inbetween the pinball, diorama/look at the girl mode and a store where you can buy stuff with money you earn by playing. Personaly I enjoyed the Japanese release and I'm not a furry
@PBandSmelly Seven. In cat years.
@tobibra That's good to know about the costumes. Yeah, it's weird, I expect the dialogue in those games and don't mind the story explaining the fur (which is on the same level as Capcom's Felicia), but it just feels out of place in...pinball...lol
@Travisemo007 Ha! If only! Those cats are actually popular!
This is not really my kind of game but boy, it still baffles me this stuff is on a Nintendo console.
Oh yeah and good for whoever is into this stuff lol.
Just watch porn. JC.
@Kirby_Girl
Like hurray for (my best buddies at) panic button ??!
Great, now if we could also get a European limited edition, that'd be great :3
Censoring it would be stupid anyway. Wish we could get the REAL Senran Kagura games though. The brawlers sold me on this franchise with the fleshed out characters and deep in-story interactions between them.
[NSW] Senran Kagura: Peach Ball & Reflexions Double Pack (Marvelous, 12/13/18) – 10,321 (New)
Lets see if as big of a failure as the Japan launch 🙄
The lack of censorship is a wonderful news, who doesn't like the game will not get hurt anyway and those liking it can actually enjoy it without nonsense catches!
Now if only I could get an idea of the game being fun or not...
I read it has only two tables and that's bothering me, sounds a bit lacking and I like my fan-servicing game to have also actual gameplay you know? ;w;
So where are the eroge visual novels on switch?!
Even as censorship is bad, I am not sure if uncensored pinball is what I need. That I would not need even in my teenage years. But as a part of hype.. Why not. I am not a customer for this, censored or not.
So... does this mean we need to root for the other side and start asking for censorship?
Just kidding of course. It is like complaining about porn being too explicit. Censorship is a plague and no one is forcing anyone to buy it. @Heavyarms55 summed it up perfectly.
@Kirby_Girl
I've been an otaku since 1995 and at one point owned over 3000+ anime DVDs, VHS, and BDs.
That being said....
I don't even get off on stupid crap like this, I just love how absurd and over the top it is instead. Stuff like this and Gal Gun actually make me slightly embarrassed while playing but I can't keep my eyes and hands away from watching/helping the pervert party happen.
I also cannot stand censorship in any form!
I have my physical copy preordered!
https://i.imgur.com/4bBb9o0.jpg
If you're going to bother localizing a game with heavy fanservice. You might as well do it right and leave everything in. The fans of the series would like it more this way, and the people doing the Pearl clutching won't buy it anyway.
It was one thing to worry about when there was a genuine risk of the governmemt stepping in. But when all you need to worry about is twitter outrage mobs, I don't see why people keep listening.
Why should it be censored anyway. It has a CERO D rating in Japan, which is too high anyway. Kids can see far worse on TV.
Excellent news! Censorship is bad.
I'm like 99% sure now that we're seeing constant 'yay no censorship!' articles and 'this low budget waifu game number 126447 is coming to Switch!' articles as pure clickbait to fuel the neverending war between the 'i l like boobies' and ' I don't like boobies' crowds despite the 'i like boobies' crowd clearly being the majority on this site
A game not being censored is not news. It is exactly the absence of news.
Employee 1: we need to talk about Senran Kagura again because boobs gets us clicks but there's no news!
Employee 2: how about we report on a thing that was never going happen, not happening?
Employee 1: perfect! That will do it!
Finally. Now people will have absolutely no reason to talk about this decidedly uninteresting effort of a game.
@Pod and yet Nintendolife still managed to find a way to spark the debate again so people on this site can remember they need to be angry at 'SJWs'
Sigh
I'm so tired of coming on here and seeing every "woke" gamer criticize a game they know goddamn well they will never play which is suppose to have breasts as a main attraction. We get that you don't like it, so don't buy it.
But still people who dislike this sort of game come on here to shame others who like this sort of thing and claim that the developers don't deserve to have their games on the eshop while simultaneously making jokes about Marina and Kanna clevage in fanart.
As I've said before, I'm not a fan of this sort of game, but I'm not going to shame and bully people for liking this sort of thing especially on an article that's not really news. I was never worried about it getting censored on switch. nobody was.
So yada yada just ignore it yada yada post actual news yada yada read a book for once.
I imported the Japanese version. Good to see they won't edit it to appease a minority that will not even buy it.
@LUIGITORNADO Just watch an Adventure movie instead of playing Uncharted, Just watch a war movie instead of playing Call of Duty, just watch a horror movie instead of playing Resident Evil, just watch a game on TV instead of playing PES, just watch Rally on TV instead of playing Dirt Rally, just watch Grand Tour instead of playing Gran Turismo, just watch Independence Day instead of playing Space Invaders, Just watch the wizard of OZ instead of playing Rainbow Islands, just get a fungi infection on your toilet so you can call an italian-american plumber and watch him while he he jumps on the fungi's heads, and so on...
@Peterjr1
The irony in people feeling threatened or singled out by a supposed army of SJWs is not only palpable, but would be hilarious too if it wasn't so tragic.
@Peterjr1 Seriously, a game like Senran Kagura not being censored IS news. For any other game you would be right, but not for this kind of games.
@Pod It's tragic for whom? For the SJWs, or for the people affected by their complaining?
@Pigeon
I have no doubt it's at least functional and entertaining. But from what I've seen, both the visuals and the table designs seem to be fit mostly for the already initiated fans of the franchise.
Sony: "Cast rays of light across everything!"
Nintendo: "Let the children watch, learn, and appreciate."
@Heavyarms55 I'm guessing the people that have a problem with this are probably sexually repressed.
And they must be new to the internet.
I suspect some people here don’t actually know what a furry is.
Hurray! This is going to be great!
@Xaessya
Apperently they get sucked into another dimension where they are force to where furry costumes. Because a pinball game needs a plot?
@Switch-a-Roony
How is the language barrier? Is it easy to figure out what to do?
@TurboTEF I don't care.
@KingBowser86 LOL You're very dramatic. No one is being silenced from their pedo-ish pinball game. The government isn't gonna come and take your weirdo games. I can judge a game if I want. Don't know what to tell you but the world judges. What you like says something about YOU and people can also equally express their freedom of expression to "ick" so just deal with it and like what you're gonna like if you're gonna like it. Crying "fascism" over this crap is a good laugh. A company has decided they can make enough money on a niche sexy pinball game. They will modify or not modify whatever they want with their product for whatever market they want to aim for. It doesn't concern me if people buy or not. When it comes to actual censorship I worry more about governments who media block their activists, etc. This is a no news story other than to stir the clicks of folks who "censorship" concern starts and ends at underage girls in bikinis. It's just real dull. Enjoy enjoy your pinball.
@Kirby_Girl Plenty of other games have and can be silenced. Comments and backlash from people like you make that happen and have made it happen - that's why the "concern" that you've again mocked exists in the first place. You've judged harshly and incorrectly and, of course, you're deflecting from the argument or calling people "dramatic" when you get called out on it like everyone else that parrots your same tired Pathos-focused beliefs. It clearly does concern you to some degree or you wouldn't have made the post that you made. I've seen this and people like you far too many times.
And of course you'll never apologize to Liam for your "real news" comment because you think you did nothing wrong and/or your personal belief is above that.
@KingBowser86 I called you dramatic because you're talking facism in regards to binikin video games. LOL. If you think internet comments section are harsh than I don't know what to tell you cause nothing I posted was particularly as brutal as most. Anyway. I confidently stand by my judgement. You all can die on this silly hill if you want.
@KingBowser86 - Only thing this reminds me of when Steam was temporarily forced to take down Hatred. From both libraries and their storefront. It wasn't til the backlash of it that they backpeddled.
And that all started because a group found the game racist cause a few longer frames of the guy killing a black person in the trailer. But apparently that's not censorship cause Steam is appealing to people who wouldn't have bought the game (and by extension, couldn't due to full on removal).
@RadioShadow It's as easy as other Senran Kagura games, and the main menue is similar to Reflexions. Other than that you use X to launch the ball, and L and R to controll the flips on the side of the board.
@Agramonte The double pack is a limited edition. Maybe the standard edition sold more? People who don't care about physical releases might not be interested as the other game (Reflexions) had been aviable digitaly for a year already in Japan.
@Trajan I’d say the people who want this are the ones who are sexually repressed.
@Dakotastomp I disagree. Games like this perpetuate and try to normalize deviant behavior seen in some otaku groups. I’m talking about pedos. I’ll continue to casually shame people all I want. It’s gross.
My opinions aren’t directly stopping you from buying the game.
But maybe you’ll stay in our bedroom and play it and be less excited to share you’re enthusiasm over this kind of material on the internet.
SHAME.
@Heavyarms55 I generally agree with this statement. It's always confused me that for example shows like The Walking Dead or American Horror Story are perfectly OK with severely gruesome violence and gore but gosh darn don't you dare swear or show a boob.
@Paraka There have been numerous games where Japanese devs have attributed "not localizing" to "overseas culture" or "overseas political climate."
@LUIGITORNADO Problem is the people that are against it are so vocal. If it isn't for you, why do you care so much?
I’m personally hoping that the pinball aspect of this game is terrible, so I won’t feel any need to play this.
Just preordered the American release on Amazon.
@KingBowser86 - Oh I am very well aware of that, and likely it's thanks to social media sampling because of how disconnected most companies are with their market base. They're likely only seeing the culture of social media, the pseudo-praise when an idea comes out and everyone claps in agreement cause it simply feels good. They respond to this cause they're not willing to dig into Nintendo forums, or Sony sites, or what have you, to find what gamers want.
@LUIGITORNADO - If you believe this perpetuates deviant behavior, why did you originally post to propagate pornography? Wouldn't that also normalize deviant behavior you're irrevocably against? Or is the difference is that people have to press more than just "Play" to somehow be subject to this exposure?
@Trajan because I’m tired of being socially lumped together with them.
I casually like anime and Nintendo. I come to Nintendolife and other similarly demographic websites and it’s infested with otakus who feel compelled to share their love for lollies. It’s gross. That’s why I care.
I don’t shy away from media with sex. I’m not such a prude that I can’t enjoy game’s like Bayonetta, but you won’t see me buying body pillows, changing my avi to some big eyed 1000-year-old vampire or professing my love of an assortment of big breasted short skirt school girl figurines and t-shirt collection.
I’ve seen users on other sites try to normalize such behavior to stick their foot in the door of the whole lolli/pedo poop, insisting they’re not hurting anyone so it’s okay.
It’s not okay. It’s shameful. It should always be shameful. And I’m doing my part reminding them that it’s not acceptable behavior.
Be it that this type of behavior plays into the larger conversation of child brides and actual human rights travesties are closet secrets these beta people suffer with.
Lol the toxicity in this thread is so apparent
Not even taking sides here
@tobibra MC usually lumps it all in. Either way, no other version listed in that week. And it was gone from the following week Japanese MC list.
@LUIGITORNADO And what makes you think I want to play this game? I care about this game about as much as I care you find it gross. maybe re-read the part where I said "I'm not a fan".
My point is that I'm tired of seeing this non-argument of a game only a few people are going to buy and seeing the double standard when it comes to video games in general. "Showing boobs is gross. But shooting people in the head is EPIC!" is how I mostly see the gaming community in general, when it's suppose to be inclusive.
Games like Fortnite don't normalize violence and a game like SK won't and never will normalize taking a young girl's clothes off. But whenever SK is ever mentioned, it's always looked down on because of "Muh titties".
I'm not an otaku, and I don't play hentai games, but I won't stand by and let other people bully and mock people who like this sort of thing
You can stay mad at it and call it gross. That's your right just like it's their right to bring this shovelware to the Switch.
@Agramonte Ok, then I understand.
Its on 3rd place on Amazon's best selling Switch games now
https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/videogames/16227133011/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_videogames_1_1_last
@tobibra Well maybe it will have a better launch in the West 😅
@LUIGITORNADO I don't know what any of those Japanese words mean. But last I checked its an anime game with some boobs. Cool. Not for me, but you don't see me complaining about its existence.
@Heavyarms55 It's hilarious how, consistently the #1, and often, the top 3 websites on the internet in the US are porn sites. Consistently, at least one porn site outranks even mighty Google, Amazon, and Facebook in hits. Yet the west pretends to be against animation with suggestive/lewd (but not nude!) themes. It's amazing hypocrisy. Apparently most people aren't against it.
I'm not really a fan of any of this stuff but I have severe spidey-senses that tingle around hypocrisy. I utterly loathe it.
Don't let them take away your freedom of expression and artist creativity.
What a stupid assertion.
If it gets banned in Australia or rated AO in the U.S., you can bet that they'll censor it. They should at least get the games rated first before making such baseless comments.
I strongly doubt that the game will need censorship, but to make such a bold claim is irresponsible.
@Dakotastomp a few years back there was an NoA employee sharing her opinions on twitter as a proponent to statutory relationships under the guise that it’s diplayed in eastern media so that means it’s okay.
These las few years have also seen social groups, such as incels form, many of which share the abhorrent opinion of seeking underage girls. These same people will often express interest or joy or the whole anime lolli thing, underage sexualized animated girls.
So yeah. Keep trying to paint it as a boogeyman. Facts are there are people out there using these type of games as a way to normalize deviant behavior.
If you're not educated about it, or haven’t seen it yet, then I can’t blame you for your ignorance.
And please hold the straw man that if violence is okay sex should be too. Last I checked no one has made a pinball game with the asthetic of murdering teenage girls.
@Paraka True, but that's only half of it. Then they'll cite "political climate," and that means that they don't want to because of those 'Puritan' sorts of laws and issues.
@NEStalgia oh yeah.
Where are your Pornhub statistics showing the US and the UK prefer the depiction of animated underageage girls over anything else?
I’ll wait.
@LUIGITORNADO - That last part got me, cause there is a Friday the 13th pinball digital table, which is also reflective of the actual thing from the 90s.
But does that make MK okay til they make a pinball game? Is Arcana Hearts okay cause it's not a pinball game?
Idk.
Another point for artistic expression. I guess...
@LUIGITORNADO The "pedo" excuse completely crumbles after you learn that they censored Dead or Alive Xtreme, where all girls are more than adult, or prohibited the publication of a game (Sony did this) set in a college, were all the girls are, again, adult (I don't remember the name of the game).
Now, tell me the truth: would you stop complaining if all the Japanese explicit visual novels would feature only grown women, or would you find some other reason to complain?
@LUIGITORNADO No need to attack, as I said, I'm not into this, but the overwhelming hypocrisy irritates me to no end, regardless.
As for statistics on exactly what fettishes are popular on popular porn sites, I'm sure that's a top secret trade statistic, it's not available to the public. The public statistics cover only web traffic to the domain. As it would be illegal for them to operate with underage models in videos, any of such fettish would have to be acted by 18+ performers pretending to be younger. That doesn't provide much information as to exactly how prevalent pedophilia is. I suspect a log more prevalent than makes either of us comfortable. And recall part of the UN agenda that was calling for universally legal prostitution was also calling for a phase 2 of universally legal pedophilia....so....unfortunately the kingmakers of the world would be in that camp.
All that said, whenever SK is involved, or any "moe" context it either turns into an argument about "suggestive themes" (ignoring that the West is even worse), or, as you're doing, singling it out as underage depictions. However the whole point of "moe" design according to it's creators is something of a blank slate that you can see it as whatever you want to. In Japan, that's interpreted as 14-16 year olds...because that's socially acceptable there. Here, it would be easy enough to see them as youthful 18 year olds. They're "generic" enough designs generally, on purpose. Also as you noted, they are indeed animated characters. Not barely-legal girls from broken homes with daddy issues with dreams of making it big on the silver screen but condemned to cheap, somewhat abusive pornformances, as those that end up on porn sites tend to be. If you start dividing which type of thing is worse...that's when that hypocrisy comes into play, and there are defenses for both varieties.
Don't shoot the messenger, I'm not into it. I've bought exactly one SK game, against my better judgement, because an NL poster recommended it as good....I got like 8 minutes in, there was a seemingly underage upskirt...I was done. Not my thing either. However that's my own personal discomfort with it. But I'm also not some 20 year old frat boy with raging hormones and bizarre fetish tastes. My point is the hysteria about things like this while the statistics show that such "unpure content" is the single most popular thing on the internet even eclipsing Standard Search used for everything including core business functionality speaks volumes of the disconnect between the so-called "virtue-signalling" and the reality of what people actually do and think. I'm not saying it should be that way, but I'd rather everyone be open grotesque perverts than walking around lying non-stop in some sort of Orwellian double-think dystopia that you know reality is different than the reality everyone pretends exists. I hate being lied to. And that's what it amounts to.
@ReaderRagfish lmao
Wow, I guess this proves that Dead or Alive not releasing here was a marketing ploy to get you to import it at no additional cost for them for a NA release.
@Peterjr1 The only mention on here I've seen of that term was you. Likely because a lot of us grew up with right wing morale purists who tried to do the same thing. I don't care which, I'm just against censorship for any game. Even if it isn't my usual type of game, like this one. Because a lot of the same arguments can be used to censor out actual meaningful content in more serious games.
@saintayu Different games and different publishers. Its very possible that Koei Tecmo just didn't want do bother with the complaints that tends to pop up around fanservice games.
@Regpuppy yeah when I said SJW specifically I was referring to the billion other uses of it on other news on this site and the general sentiment of it being carried on in the comments before mine
@LUIGITORNADO Do you have proof? Where is this alleged tweet that this NoA employee posted? Where are the stories about ecchi games being the direct cause of deviant acts and child rape?
Why are you getting upset at me for not knowing enough about the subject to make an honest opinion? Do I think there are pervs who use these games as an excuse to do sexual acts in real life? Yes, but it's a very small percentage. But that's not what I'm focused on.
Like @NEStalgia said, it's the hypocrisy that I'm against and how the gaming community treats the titles and gamers who may want to play it.
You can assume it's a staw man all you want, but the truth is that no on here has ever had a complaint that Doom had too much blood and gore while you and many others stand on your soap boxes and say it's disguising and perverts will only play it.
That is the double standard hypocrisy. That is what I'm against.
It's like talking about Gun control. Lobbyists will never bring up the issue over how easy it is to get a gun and skirt the issue with "thoughts and prayers" for the victims, but in Florida, when it came to pornography online, they passed a law blocking all porn sites within the state. They think sex is gross, but when you can buy a gun so easily, they don't care.
Not every SK player is an incel or wants to do "deviant" things to young children and games like it are not promoting or normalizing whatever you think a deviant act is, but you force that narrative down our throats because that's your assumption of the whole thing.
Maybe actually talk to someone who actually has played the games so you can stop making baseless assumptions like a conservative mother. If you have a problem with it still, why not talk to NoA about it and how you want it to be pulled from the eshop or boycott the game? You'd be getting the word out about it to someone who gives a flying f*ck and not me.
Ironic that you even like anime and don't consider yourself an otaku. I bet you watch a ton of ecchi bullcrap that even I wouldn't watch, you pervert. Don't like my opinion and assumptions of you? now you know how Senran Kagura fans feel.
@NEStalgia I think the animation complaint largely stems from the mistaken western belief that anything animated in anyway has to be for children. Despite the popularity of things like South Park, Simpsons and Family Guy in the west, there is still an ingrained mind set that animation is for children always.
@Peterjr1 It is news though, it was the kind of game people would have expected to be censored and we are in an era where a lot of controversy has been stirred up around games being censored. People were wondering if it would happen to this game too, it is confirmed it wont people, now those people have their answer.
I have to wonder, if you have no interest in the game or the issue of censorship, why did you click on the article?
@tobibra I mean that's possible but so is what I said. Also isn't this game even more fan service than DOA. I played the 3DS ones and it seemed that way. Given the last DOA game I played was the one on the 360.
@DaruniaJones88 what games have been banned? A publisher choosing not to release a game isn't a ban.
As far as the US goes, very few games have been banned here despite us being the so called "SJW" birthing country.
Wow. what kind of bizarro world is it now. Sony censors Senran Kagura and Nintendo of all companies does NOT censor Senran Kagura. crazy
@Xaessya
There is actually a plot as an excuse. I am not joking. Still, it is a pretty bland and shallow "story mode".
@saintayu I'm not saying your opinion is impossible, but why not trust the publisher unless they are actually proven wrong? What I'm going at is, just because Xseed is okay with publishing very ecchi games does not mean Koei Tecmo is. And it is a fact that there is a negative attitude toward ecchi games. So it may not be directly be because of SJW's, but don't rule out they are telling the truth too, okay?
@Pigeon Super real mahjong has censored naked women. It got taken down a short while to fix censorship because they didn't cover one nipple enough in a scene. CERO(Japanese age rating) does not allow female nipples.
....I like how everyone attacks this series, saying it's gross and terrible....yet everyone is fine with games like Mortal Kombat.
Yeah, I'd rather look at silly games with jiggling boobs than watch a random person get sliced in half in intense and graphic detail.
this has got to be one of the top 10 longest Nintendo life comments section. and it's for pinball, cool I guess
@Joeynator3000 I absolutely agree with you. If you treat violent games like they treat ecchi games, you get told don't play it if you don't liket or they label you a troll. But if they attack ecchi games you should just relaxe, deal with it and let them shame you for liking it...
@Pigeon
I wouldn't doubt you in that regard. Making a fun pinball game is difficult even if you're NOT doing it to get away with animating cute girls in animal bikinis.
@Joeynator3000 That's the irony here. Almost everyone is fine with violence in video games because violence is human nature they say, but sex and ecchi games is taboo in the US to the point that no one talks about it in shows or games. Why? Because it makes people uncomfortable? Then how do you talk about sex to the children or if they find out about it through the internet?
@tobibra ok but if a publisher chooses not to release a game that's not censorship. It's a business decision and the reaction from others on here acting as though SJW get everything banned or censored are wrong because this game is getting released.
@saintayu Of course not releasing a game is not censorship. I can't speak for anyone else, but the way I personaly think about the acronym is the stereotype that say they don't want to take my games away, yet they don't want those games to be made in the first place and attempt to shame people who buy fanservicy games. Of course its wrong to say that they manage to get every ecchi game censored. I'm not saying they are the only cause of DoAX3, I'm saying they likely are a part of it. (And I'm fully aware that there hypocrites who say they are against censorship who want otome games censored) and you are fully right its businiss decission. All I tried to say is that its not unreasonable to asume Koei Tecmo might have wanted to avoid a possible stink about their game, despite Xseed and Marvelous releasing this.
Sorry for long post, but hope you have a fabulous day ^_^
EDIT: added a few missing words
You have to understand that The Age of Consent in Japan is 13 years old, this plays a big part in most of their animes and games featuring overly sexualised young girls, but to them it's ok they aren't going against their law it's what they have grown up with, if we were all Japanese and raised in Japan then this argument wouldn't be happening...
I enjoy watching anime to a point where I watch 90% of anime that's released and I enjoy most Jrpgs but that doesn't make me or anyone else a pedo...unless you're saying almost the whole of Japan are pedos? as anime is the leading entertainment industry in Japan
@playstation_king Thank you Not many people on this site get it.
@RadioShadow yeah it's a bit on the steep side but still very playable. Im suprised it's not multi language since a western release is coming.
