The arrival of Castlevania season two draws closer, with Netflix releasing the official trailer. This next chapter in the series will be comprised of eight new episodes and will be available to stream on 26th October.
As gripping as the first season was, a common complaint was the length of it. With only four episodes, viewers of the show were left wanting more. The second season promises to be twice as action-packed.
Here's the synopsis:
Returning to Netflix for a second season, Castlevania, inspired by the classic videogame series, is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself. Trevor Belmont, last survivor of his house, is no longer alone, and he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.
As previously confirmed, a third season for the series has been ordered.
Take a look at the trailer above, and tell us in the comments if you're excited about the return of Trevor Belmont this October.

I’m in.
Uh, yes please!! Hopefully “twice as action packed” translates to twice as many episodes. They are sooo good.
Know what else I liked? Knights of Sidonia.
Oh jeez. I really should remember to watch the first season!
I need to play through Castlevania III again...looks promising! But....where's Grant Dynasty? 🤔

@HobbitGamer its been confirmed for awhile that their will be twice the amount of episodes for season 2
Cool.
If we are NOT getting the Castlevania games we deserve at we are getting this. And it is awesome!
Finally! Been looking forward to this for quite a while
Awesome, can't wait! Gotta love Netflix's descriptions, though. "Misfit companions". Yeesh.
Looking good. Looking forward to it!
@link12684 Thanks! I missed that info.
@Heavyarms55 You have plenty of time between now and when this releases October 26. The first "season" is really little more, some might even say a little less, than a typical length movie, about 90 minutes, broken up into four 23 minute parts. It was interesting, but barely little more than a prologue. Glad to hear it's 8 episodes now so maybe it can feel like something happened when it's done.
God this series was really really dire. I don't know why it seems to be so popular. The animation is bad, the story is bad, the VA is bad. Honestly what the hell do you people see in it!?
They took their time to release this second season... I'll have to re-watch the first one. Good thing it's only 4 episodes.
Cannot wait. I'll make sure I re-watch season one and go right into season 2 with it.
@HobbitGamer I started Knights of Sidonia but it seemed kinda slow. Does it get better in time?
@MeloMan It started to, yeah. It's kind of like Robotech with a slow roll through the personal things, then snowballs at the end. To be fair, I also was doing work while watching, so it wasn't the only thing i was doing. Otherwise, it'd probably feel slower.
