The latest batch of North American My Nintendo rewards went live recently, and there's a whole lot of Mario games for you get your white-gloved hands on.
The rewards are actually themed around Toad, thanks to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker's upcoming release on Switch and 3DS, with two wallpapers available for 50 Platinum points each and a selection of games that "feature Toad and more." So quite a loose theme there, then.
Here's the full list of games and wallpapers available from the My Nintendo Rewards website:
- [3DS] 40% off Mario Kart 7: 90 Gold Points
- [3DS] 30% off Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS: 90 Gold Points
- [3DS] 40% off Mario Golf: 20 Gold Points
- [3DS] 50% off Game & Watch Gallery 3: 150 Platinum Points
- [3DS] 40% off Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move: 30 Gold Points
- [Wii U / New 3DS] 40% off Super Mario Kart: 200 Platinum Points
- [Wii U] 30% off Mario vs Donkey Kong: 160 Platinum Points
- [Wii U] 30% off Super Mario Maker: 130 Gold Points
- [Wii U] 50% off Mario Pinball Land: 200 Platinum Points
- [Wii U / New 3DS] 40% off Super Mario World: 240 Platinum Points
- [Wii U] 30% off Super Mario 64: 200 Platinum Points
Will you be taking advantage of any of these offers? Remember, your Gold Points can now also be spent on Nintendo Switch software directly from the eShop.

Thanks?
@holygeez03
LOL !
I saw this Sunday and snagged Mario 64.
Inb4 “YUNO SWITCH VIRTUAL CONSOLE?!?!?!!”
This is great for those who haven’t picked up Mario 64 yet. Mario Maker is great too. So is super mario world. These discounts are so great. Great stuff.
Nintendo sure does reward those that waited for these discounts.
@1UP_MARIO I just grabbed a Wii U in May and a 2DS XL in January, so I've enjoyed some of these. I've not had a Nintendo system since Wii/3DS at release; some of these discounts are a nice way to pad the library at a good price.
@HobbitGamer wow you should have a massive catalogue of games to choose then
@CCore28 it’s never is. I’ve bought most of these for the same discount prices years ago. They also did give away mario 64 for gold points for free. These are great for people who recently buy the 3ds and Wii u
Oh boy a lot of games that I'm pretty sure 90% of Nintendo owners have already.
How about adding some more rewards like shirts, posters, Joy con and console skins.
Come on Nintendo
@1UP_MARIO I do, it's great!! Between 2DS, Wii U, and Switch, my gaming budget I maintain has never been this depleted
Don't get me wrong, I've owned each console & handheld up to 2DS & Wii U, but I had a 360 and then XOne so had no interest till my friend got a Switch. Now I'm back and more indecisive than ever!
@1UP_MARIO Who's recently buying a Wii U while they're porting pretty much every Wii u-exclusive to the Switch?
Nintendo Logic:
make a console that fails
stop supporting it after only 4 years
launch a new console
launch a new rewards program
only give rewards on the failed console you no longer support
@liljmoore Because unlike fun things like shirts or posters, generic wallpapers & discounts on old games takes no effort or monetary input.
I grabbed Mario vs donkey Kong, Mario pinball, and game & watch gallery 3
@rjejr nailed it....lol
@rjejr
Really they're just milking those unfortunate 15million Wiii U owners at this point.
@rjejr i know right!? it's absurd i tell you! (thats not a joke, i do agree with you.)
I have 90% of these games and I'm not buying any more for the Wii U at this point. They really need to start putting deals on the Switch.
@rjejr
Amen to that.
@Pod No, only about 2 million. The other 13 million are Switch owners now.
@rjejr I am still trying to figure out what to do with the points I gain each week. There is rarely ever anything worth getting, so my points balance just keeps growing each week.
I was interested when they offered indie games for download, but that promotion seemed to die faster than the Wii U.
Meanwhile, there are literally two Gold rewards....and they are both 3DS themes...
Y'know, My Nintendo isn't amazing, but I HAVE obtained some useful discounts through the rewards program as I don't normally pick up games as soon as they're available (partially for this reason). None of this month's offerings interest me, but that Super Mario 64 discount did come in handy when it was also available a few months ago.
Here's to hoping that there are some Wario-centric discounts next month; I still haven't picked up Wario Land 4 or the original WarioWare GBA game.
I kind of miss the opportunity to play my 64 games (MARIO 64) on my Wii U. I ditched it in lieu of switch.
@rjejr you do know you can use the same reward points to pay off your switch eshop purchases right?
It’s pretty much as if the switch had a permanent discount offer for all the games in the eshop, the discount being equivalent to the gold coins you plan to use.
@Yosheel @Darknyht @Captain_Gonru @MoonKnight7 @Aozz101x @Pod @marnelljm
I guess Nintendo Life really could use a reply to all button.
Hope all my fellow 'Muricans had a happy 4th of July, hope all the rest of you enjoyed your normal Wednesday, and your MyNintnedoRewards.
Hey Nintendo. This is great but did you know there is a system out now called the Switch? Yea it’s all the rage but they never discount games on it for it’s My Nintendo Rewards members.
Switch, please!?
I was hoping this would also apply to Europe too, and that Yoshi's Story would be included too! Thought it's not technically a Mario game, it's still one of my favourite 2D Mario-style games of that era. ^_^
Still dreaming of these retro titles, and Mario Maker, on Switch. Sure, I could play them on my older consoles, but I want them on Switch. Sue me.
LOL. And yet I'm the one who's banned around here. Nintendolife should consider banning the decision makers at Nintendo.
If they were on Switch I'd but several of them, but they aren't
It's ridiculous how people here are complaining about free stuff and discounts. Nintendo is kind enough to give you these, but no, that's not enough apparently.
I almost wish Nintendo would stop giving anything at all just to see how the world would react to it. Eh, whatever.
@KoopaTheGamer someome will complain no matter what happens. Nintendo could release new (excellent) versions of all their franchises in whatever amount of years that would take and some people would complain they're not creating any new ip as they release new entries in their existing properties. Wherever you work (or study) there could be fountains that dispense free soda and someone would complain it's not Hawaiian Punch. Point is people will always complain, just ignore them.
It's a pity that the N64 Virtual Console shows darker colours when they are designed to look much brighter.
It anyone is on the fence with Super Mario Maker for 3DS is a really great game with original good levels.
