The World Cup is underway in Russia and it's already seen some suitably shocking results as some of the planet's best players and teams do battle on the pitch. So what better way to celebrate the tournament than finally picking up a copy of FIFA 18 on Switch via the comfort of the eShop?
Nintendo and EA are running a new promotion that's slashed the usual asking price by a whole 66% - so if you've been undecided thus far, now is the time to pick up a digital copy of the footy simulation (complete with the free World Cup update, of course). It's certainly a great way to count down the days until FIFA 19 and the potential for future cross-play functionality...

Soooo what's the actual price now then? Am considering picking up a Switch sometime soon so knowing the actual would be useful.
For us in the UK: Was £54.99, now £18.14
Physical version: £25.99 https://store.nintendo.co.uk/nintendo-switch-game/ea-sports-fifa-18/11548956.html?utm_source=mothership&utm_medium=gamepage_relatedinfo&utm_campaign=ea-sports-fifa-18
It's still a better deal to get the retail version as it costs about the same and you're saving 15GB of microSD card storage which would add to the overall cost.
New Sale????
How far behind is the news on here? I bought this game in this sale on the 27th of May.
That aside it's still not as good as PES 😜
Is Nintendo life getting a percentage of sales? It's been on sale for weeks now, mentioned numerous times also on here
I finally updated and played the World Cup mode... I could swear goals are easier to score, which is a welcome change for me! I won my first game 5 - 2... typically my games end 1 - 0.
Might pick it up just to play out Tunisia beating England. Totally not spiteful about Scotland not qualifying in my lifetime, nope not at all.
Yep FIFA 18 has been on sale for several weeks now. It's the reason it's been sitting at the top of the charts. That tweet from Nintendo is just a reminder that's its on sale.
I'll plant a flag on my Rocket League car and call it good
I think it works out at about £13.77 on the Russian eShop.
I wonder if I am the only person who didn't know the World Cup was going on. Probably. lol sports.
Still not interested. Not giving EA any of my money is something I've stuck to since Mass Effect 3 on ps3. Don't feel like I've missed much and nothing will change my mind. Plenty of really good COMPLETE games to get stuck into
For anyone who doesn't know:
This is NOT a good deal, FIFA 18 is for free on all the other platforms now, so don't buy it on Switch.
I’ve never been a FIFA fan, but I’m loving it on the handheld; especially as I’m taking my beloved Fulham up to the premiership (game imitates life).
At this point, EA might as well make Fifa free-to-play...
no US sale ?
@Heavyarms55 Definitely not the only one lol
