We've known portable MOBA Arena of Valor has been Nintendo Switch bound for some time, and that it's due a beta in the US and the UK, and now we can confirm said closed test will take place shortly for players in both North America and in Europe.
You can follow the link in the embedded tweet below to be taken to a short survey. From there you'll be able to sign up to the closed beta, with the event itself set to take place sometime in the summer. If you're not lucky enough to be selected, don't worry - Nintendo Life will have some hands-on impressions of the game once the beta kicks off.
Will you be signing up for Nintendo Switch's first proper MOBA? Is Switch a good home for such a genre? Share your thoughts below...

"Is Switch a good home for such a genre?"
Given the portability feature of the Switch, absolutely!
I just can't keep up anymore with all I want to play. Time consuming online games are bad for me as I literally play nothing else.
@Anti-Matter I know it's mostly offline but that's the same reason I wont get Stardew Valley. I know I will play nothing else for like 4 to 6 months. That's what I did with New Leaf.
Highest grossing game in the world right now and yet it receives hardly any attention while articles about game X or Y not coming to the Switch will get hundreds of comments. Completely unsurprising too, you won't see an article saying "Arena of Valor not coming to PS4" over on Push Square and for a good reason
@Spoony_Tech Yeah, that's what happened to me with Splatoon on Wii U
I've been playing tons of HoTS, so I'll give this a shot here
Hope I make the cut, can't wait for a good MOBA for switch.

Let’s be honest though, the thing that grates on many Nintendo fans is that PlayStation and Xbox don’t have problems with third party support. And most of the time we need to own one of those consoles as well as a Nintendo console in order to play most multi platform games.
I even think that Xbox will still get far more AAA third parties than Switch even if/when Switch outsells it.
All we want is third party developers to treat Nintendo (and by default us) equally.
I'll pass. Last time the "European" beta test code never registered on Russian eShop. I live with Nintendo having zero concept of Belarus's existence as it is, but all these other regional release microhijinks in the late 2010s... so much for the oft-discussed "globalization". ¯(ツ)/¯
if its crossplay i'd play it and spend some money
that Justice Lord Superman looks nice
@Kienda depends on what kind of third party support you're talking about. This is the biggest game in the world right now and it's console exclusive on the Switch. Many Japanese games are PS4 and Switch only. The treatment of third party developers towards Nintendo is a shameful one, even when they've been the market leader by a large margin. I'd recommend reading a web article called 'Third party wall of shame' on a site called Pietriots
I’ve played league of legends for just a bit over 10 hrs because I mostly game at work (we’re allowed to if it’s quiet) but my mouse is loud. If this really comes to Switch, i imagine I’ll play a lot more since I won’t be making a lot of noise.
I used to play this on my phone religiously on launch day but I've been on a 2 month hiatus and haven't played. Maybe I should play it today because its still on my phone so I can get used to playing it again so just in case I get picked for the nintendo beta I wont be so lost besides getting used to the controller
