Nintendo Switch continues to attract more and more developers to the platform, and that includes veterans who have helped create some of Nintendo's most beloved titles. Enter one Shinichi Kameoka, the man who served as a producer on Mother 3 on the Game Boy Advance, who has revealed he and his studio Brownies are working on a new title for Switch.
The confirmation was made to Source Gaming in an interview, however, it has been confirmed that the game won't be a traditional RPG in the vein of Mother 3, but something more unusual like 2017's Egglia: Legend of the Redcap. Even if it's nothing like that classic GBA outing, we're just excited to see what Kameoka-san will be bringing to Nintendo's hybrid platform.

@SmaggTheSmug yea I notice that but it said, "traditional rpg in the vein of Mother 3", meaning that it still have the elements of an rpg. We will get more about it later this year I hope.

Well my hope is for a new JRPG, the Switch could use some more good ones. 87 million "Retro indie platformer roguelite" games, about 3 or 4 good to great JRPGs.
ahhh, I loved Legend of Mana, and that art style really did sell it. I want to go back to where there's a graveyard full of sentient, paralyzed, and slowly rotting toy soldiers, and you can put a barrel (a literal) into your soul.

If there's one rumour, from the past, that I wished to be true was the VC Mother 3 Wii U Western release, that Emily whatshername reported. Now that VC is all but gone the chances of owning a western copy of M3 are truly low.

@Henmii Earthbound 64 (originally Mother 3) was planned to be more adventurous than the previous one. It's just a shame it was cancelled.
