If you're interested in new fighting games then SNK: Heroines will surely be on your radar; this promising-looking brawler contains some of SNK's most famous female characters in 2-on-2 tag action, and is headed to Switch this year.
We've seen snippets of the game in motion before but during a Wednesday Night Fights broadcast we got almost an hour of video, giving us our clearest - and longest - look at the title yet.

@Fuz I hope they are used. SNK is low-key revealing stuff about the game through a comic strip (posted on their official Twitter), now called "Heroines' Haphazard Odyssey". At first, it looked like a goofy comic that ran alongside KoF XIV. But it actually built up to the Tag Team Frenzy reveal in the 32nd strip! Brilliant!

Does any one know when this game is out?
Cautiously optimistic. From what I understand It's supposed to be simpler than most fighters, but so is Smash. And I still don't have a fighting game on my Switch.
The simple controls are perfect for playing casual matches on Joy-Cons. Hopefully a PC version (double-dip ahoy) comes out later so I can use my arcade sticks.
I'm still happy that this is somewhat of a sequel to the best fighter (Capcom vs SNK and Last Blade as well, gosh) I owned on my NGPC back in early 2000. I kinda hope they have that on there as an hidden unlock.
Repeating myself here, not the greatest fan of an all-female fighter, but again, maybe I'm the only one
If this is a stepping stone to get KoF XVI on the Switch, I'm all for it.
A bit to cheesey-cheesecakey for me
While I appreciate the highlighting of the females and that all the characters are allowed to be just as sassy as they are in their source series, the whole package strikes me as just a tad too saccharine and pandering at the same time. Who's the actual target audience here?

Looks like a fun, casual time. I really need some Tekken, or VF on my Switch tho. KoF or Skullgirls will work too. Shoot, gimme Injustice 2 or MKX and I'll be happy. More fighters all around!
Limited funds will likely dictate I can only buy one full retail 1 on 1 fighter for Switch this year and I think it'll be Capcom and STREET FIGHTER COLLECTION unless folks can convince me SNK's Babe Battler is the better option?

So, while i don't know if some might be unlockable through gameplay, and some might even be paid DLC, i have to say i'm pretty hyped about the character select screen clearly hinting at a surprisingly huge roster with 29 fighters.
Ooh; a nice amount of SNK Heroines footage. I don't have the time now (my laptop needs to rest after all the recording today), but I'll try and give it a watch later.
I enjoyed the latest King of Fighters, but it was on a PS4 and I don't tend to play that system much (not a fan of the controllers really). Fighting games were the big reason I was excited for the portable aspect of the Nintendo Switch, being able to practise and get good at them on the go, so I'm really looking forward to this. The style is also cute and appealing as well.
