PQube is pubishing Super Icon's platform game construction kit PlataGO! Super Platform Game Maker on Switch eShop, it has been announced.

Already available on Steam Early Acess, PlataGO! allows you to create your own 2D run-and-jump masterpieces using an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. You can piece together a fiendish creation - complete with jumps, enemies and collectables - and then press play to test your skills.

The game is packed with resources - such as level building blocks, sprites, cannons, teleporters and much more - and will allow players to choose from a number of graphical themes based on classic systems, including the Game Boy, NES, ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64. Once you're happy with what you've made, you'll be able to share it with other players.

It all sounds a lot like Super Mario Maker to us, but with a "Euro-platformer" feel which could make it very interesting and different.
