The Nintendo GameCube was woefully underrated in its time, failing to compete commercially with its rivals. Where it excelled however was in its quality of games, of which there are countless.
That's why we wanted to show off just what this cuboid console can do, and show you the 21 best games for the system, but limiting ourselves to just one game per franchise. You know, to keep it interesting. We've got everything crossed that somehow, somewhen, we're able to enjoy these on the go should the necessary planetary bodies align.
Make sure you check out the video above and let us know what your personal list would be down there in the comments.

What? Only 21?
Monkey Ball, Eternal Darkness, Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO,..... that's it.
As per usual, only video, no text. Meh.
I know some people won't be happy that this is a video rather than a list.
Edit: And there's one already above, beaten by 20 seconds. I think the Gamecube still remains my all-time favourite console, so much quality.
Edit again:
Tales of Symphonia
Skies of Arcadia
Rogue Squadron II
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Viewtiful Joe and its sequel
All of those should have been included as well.
Resident Evil 4 on GameCube... that was phenomenal to me. The Wii Edition is even better, one of the greatest games of all time in my humble opinion.
It won’t take long before we know how serious Nintendo is with the ‘no more waiting’ attitude. This is by far the most important direct and year for Nintendo since a long time.
I have faith they will deliver! And getting GameCube VC would be a good beginning
The GameCube had the most main line entries in Nintendo Series, basically every notable Nintendo franchise created got a game as well as a bunch of new decent IPs as well. Problem was everyone thought the GameCube was for kids when it was the only console that Nintendo made that truly tried to compete against Sony and Microsoft in terms of software and play style.
@MartyFlanMJFan I agree resi 4 was outstanding and it looked incredible on the cube much better than the ps2 version
Somebody type the list please. Don’t care about the order, just want the game names.
I'd love the list in text form.
On a side note, majority of Gamecube games are seriously expensive. Gotta be lucky on finding a good copy for cheap
Edit: No mention on Rogue Squadron, the Resident Evil remake, or even Viewtful Joe? Quite a bummer
Cube needs to come to Switch!!! VC in whatever form or means!!
No Tales of Symphonia? Seriously?!
It's been a while since I import some GameCube gems for my collection. I should get back to it.
update: Alex, how could you forget "Rogue Squadron"!?
Skies of Arcadia!
Happy to see Metroid Prime in first place, he deserved it
If they re-release Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 on Switch together with cube-cons (for want of a better name) then I'm sold. Needs video capture for posting ridiculous trick shots.
Seriously if Nintendo bought the back catalogue of all their past consoles to the switch in a virtual console, that be the most epic thing that could happen to the switch.
That’s the sad things about old games, eventually they are forgotten about because of new hardware.
Just once I’d like a console that could play everything! And retained all games regardless! That’s the dream lol
Here’s hoping that Nintendo still give us even a fraction of some of these amazing games.
I like Alex, I really do, but I really don’t have the time or patience for a long video. And reading the comments on every single one of his videos, it looks like I’m not the only one.
Star Fox Assault and Star Fox Adventures baby.
Geist, Smuggler's Run: Warzones, Timesplitters Future Perfect, Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, Kirby Air Ride, and Metroid Prime 2 would definitely expand the list for me.
I can't be bothered to watch the video but if all of these are in I have no problemo:
Baten Kaitos Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance
Eternal Darkness
F-Zero GX
Metroid Prime 1 & 2
Ikaruga
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Super Smash Bros Melee
SoulCalibur II
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO FRIEND or preferably FRIENDS)
I'd say those are the cream of the crop for the system that I can still play today.
When I think of my favorite games of all time, most of them are still Gamecube titles. Maybe because I grew up with the Gamecube, but I more think that it's because the Gamecube just had a lot of awesome games! XD From Double Dash, Luigi's Mansion, Kirby Air Ride, Sunshine, many Sonic titles, Monkey Ball, Skies of Arcadia, Billy Hatcher, Paper Mario TTYD, Mario Parties... I could go on and on!
I certainly hope we see Gamecube VC on the Switch (the sooner the better!), but I'm also hoping for some sequels someday! Sunshine 2 or Kirby Air Ride 2, anyone?
GC had an amazing line up of games, I really wish we had more Tony Hawk games.
Not watched the video yet but Rogue Squadron and Wave Race: Blue Storm better be on there! 🤨
Edit: Now full list.
First 12 on list (can't watch more a t m):
Timesplitters 2
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Beyond Good & Evil
The Simpsons: Hit & Run
Super Mario Sunshine
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Animal Crossing
SSX3
Super Monkey Ball 2
Luigi's Mansion
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
OK here's rest of list
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Pikmin 2
Soul Calibur 2
Burnout 2: Point of Impact
5. F-Zero GX
4. Resident Evil 4
3. Super Smash Bros. Melee
2. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
1. Metroid Prime
(Actually think I own every game except Simpsons on this list ) Thanks for the nostalgia trip. Try Viewtiful Joe as well!
@LightBeam
>He
>Implying Metroid is a boy
Uggghhhh 18 minute video!!!!! Need text list
@Biff_ARMStrong didn't know that capcom vs snk 2 was released on the game cube as well.
That's still for me one of the best fighting games ever!
Shame we will never see it released again.
Ah, i don't care with those 21 games on above.
These are my Gamecube games list that i have selected carefully :
1. Harvest Moon Magical Melody, Rated Everyone
2. The Sims Bustin' Out, Rated Teen
3. Kao the Kangaroo Round 2, Rated Everyone
4. Paper Mario The Thousand Years Door, Rated Everyone
5. Bomberman Generations, Rated Everyone
6. Super Mario Sunshine, Rated Everyone
Well... so far just only 6 games, because i'm very Selective to choose a game.
Good list - pleased that Beyond Good and Evil and Simpsons Hit and Run are on there.
A little disappointed that Pokemon Colosseum/XD, Tales of Symphonia, and Starfox Adventures are not though.
Hey I was wondering if the direct is on Thursday when will Nintendo let us know?
Should have done a video on hard modding a Gamecube, so that it can play burned Gamecube games, like the other piracy/hacking articles. That would have gotten you more views + endorsed by Nintendo UK as well.
@SimplyCinnamon53 I can recollect that Nintendo always reveal the date of the next Direct two days prior... so tuesday would be most likely
@Alex Olney Why no 12 days of christmas this year? Did you not get presents I liked watching last year's, even thoguh I was more than a little jealous of most of the things you guys got!!
@Nagi_Nagisa Had a feeling it wouldn't be. Writers here tend to snub RPGs a hell of a lot.
Top 5 are f zero gx, re 4, ssb melee, wind waker and Metroid Prime as number 1.
All of the games on the list are good but there's a few on there I don't think deserve to be in the top 21. Especially when there's games like Skies of Arcadia, Tales of Symphonia, Chibi-Robo, FE: Path of Radiance, Pokemon Colosseum, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, and any of the GameCube Mario Party games.
My personal list probably would have included Baten Kaitos as well but that one's pretty divisive.
@Malcrash Ok thanks!
No Rogue Squadron? Criminal
The Simpsons: Hit & Run is one of the 21 best Gamecube games??????????? But Star Wars Rogue Leader isn't???? What a joke.
Wave Race Blue Storm?
Skies of Acadia?
Viewtiful Joe?
Mario Party 4 or 5?
But once again The Simpsons: Hit & Run over Star Wars Rogue Leader????
Absolute nonsense, the rest of the list is pretty great though, apart from the order and personally I think both the original Pikmin and Monkey Ball were better than their sequels
Rouge squadron 3 and fire emblem could really do with being on that list.
@Nagi_Nagisa Favourite game ever
Looking at that list and some of the games in the comments. I think if gamecube virtual console does come it'll cost me a small fortune.
@AlexOlney Nice list, although if you had chosen to ignore the one game per
genrefranchise rule, it could easily have been a top 30, or dare I say it: a top 40, what with games like Rogue Squadron (how right you are, @Shiryu), Baten Kaitos, Tales of Symphonia, Fire Emblem, Skies of Arcadia, Star Fox Adventures, Viewtiful Joe, Donkey Kong - Jungle Beat, Donkey Konga, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Crazy Taxi, Kirby's Air Ride, Beach Spikers, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Geist, Mario Smash Football, Mario Superstar Baseball, Pokémon Colloseum, Pokemon XD - Gale of Darkness, The Prince of Persia Trilogy, R Racing, Rayman 3, Rocky, Black & Bruised, 18 Wheeler - American Pro Trucker, Rogue Ops, Scaler, Second Sight, Sega Soccer Slam and Sphinx. And how on Earth could you forget/leave out the simply stellar Wave Race? You could have even included that in your list, seeing as it is the only water-based racer on the system.
And Third party game SSX3 over 1080 Avalanche? Tsss....
Gamecube provided me with some excellent experiences along with a few big disappointments. Metroid Prime was the game that convinced me to get a Gamecube, and remained my favorite game on the system. I loved how it controlled and never enjoyed Metroid Prime with motion controls.
@FlashmanHarry That's ROGUE Squadron, not Rouge Squadron...
And most people feel that although 3 had multiplayer and all the original missions in them, 2 was still better, because the third one had those horrible on foot sections, and the story of it's own levels was rather crappy.
did anyone ever play lost kingdoms loved those games, i would probably only add star wars and get rid of SSX thats it as i love all of those games only would never explain pikmin 2 and 1 as kinda the same, no way!!!
How do you know that they are making a "Virtual Console"?
No Fire Emblem is unforgivable!
As long as the cutscenes are in the Metal Gear games, they are far from being "interactive films". Good list though.
a video? nope. list please.
Plus Mario Baseball should be in there, amazing game!
I'm glad you put Metroid Prime in 1st spot. It really is one of the best games ever.
I don't agree with Resi 4 though. I believe that game destroyed the survival horror genre for the series from that point. The best one was Code Veronica. It first released as an exclusive on Dreamcast, so maybe that doesn't qualify for listing.
No Viewtiful Joe?
"Monkey target 2 can die in a fire" 😂😂
solid list Alex, agree with most especially eternal darkness and twin snakes but I would have included either of the viewtiful joe games, fire emblem and battalion wars.
@Melkac
Metroids are neuter.
@ThanosReXXX As I always say, when in doubt -> Shiryu Games.
'No. 22 Freedom Fighters'
@ThanosReXXX my bad on the rouge. I never really bothered too much with the single player as the on foot sections weren't great but the co-op with my buddy gave me my fondest memorys of the gamecube so 3 will always be the better game.
@Shiryu Haha, yeah, duly noted. How could I have forgotten? I've seen that list of you before. Now that I checked it again, I've even seen some gems I've overlooked. Watching your videos as we speak.
@FlashmanHarry Yeah, multiplayer was were it was at with the third game. And of course personal experiences also play a big part in it, so if that made it better for you personally, then fair enough. And we agree on the rest, so no argument there.
@ThanosReXXX There are quite a lot of Japan only games most people haven't even heard. I have found myself struggling really hard to find some of them even nowadays. Truly the Gamecube was far more then the sum of its worldwide sold units.
@frogopus It's actually one game per franchise series, not one per genre. Either way, still doesn't explain the lack of some of the greats.
But then again, every list is subjective, so what one thinks isn't always going to be what others do.
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is on my list, but I have the feeling not everyone liked it [or Colosseum].
@frogopus Also good games. And I would add I-Ninja, Freaky Flyers, Freek Style, Nitro Bike and WWE Day of Reckoning 2. Give me some more time and I'll probably be able to make a top 50 or even 60 list.
Although in all fairness to the article, they probably stuck to European titles, so some games wouldn't have been available to them, unless they had an import system.
@Shiryu True. But I never even bothered anymore with those hard to find, ridiculously priced games. I just slapped them onto my modded Wii.
I’m really upset this list didn’t have Rogue Squadron. Not only the best Star Wars game ever made, the best GameCube game ever made in my opinion.
@ZeldaNX There won't be a direct.
So..........no Viewtiful Joe, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Wario Ware, Starfox, Donkey Konga, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Skies of Arcadia, Chibi Robo, Wave Race plus many others, but Tony Hawks 4 and Simpsons Hit and Run made it to the list??? Criminal!!!
I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion and if we all liked the same stuff, it wouldn't be very interesting. Mostly, in my opinion, a great list!
Having now watched the video, it’s a good list, but disappointing that the video only shows cut-scenes from certain games (TS2, MGS and MP) and not actual gameplay.
@gaga64 Well, to be fair, cut scenes were mostly made with in-game footage, and certainly in those games you mentioned, so it's probably good enough for people to get their memory triggered.
This article is mostly for us who already knew and played these games, after all.
Air Ride isn't in this video. >:c
skipped the Cube but wasnt that controller pretty much imparitive to making it work? I mean could you play gamecube games with joycons?
Smash bros was my favorite, but I agree Metroid was a BIG step for the series and gaming. I prefer Twilight Princess over Windwaker, but that is arguable. Mario Kart double-dash was my least favorite Mario Kart, it felt to slippery with the tires and so felt like a sled game vs. a kart racer.
Missing from the list:
The original Chibi Robo game, Spider man 2 (was actually done well for a superhero game), Wave Race, Rogue Squadron.
Great list, and the many “how could you leave out _____?” comments just underscore what a gem that little purple gizmo was.
For my money, Rogue Squadron or Viewtiful Joe deserve a place but it’s hard to argue what they would bump off.
Text please along with the videos.
The Gamecube is in the lower half of my favorite Nintendo consoles but damn if it didn't have some memorable experiences. Eternal Darkness is one that deserves special mention. Possibly the most underrated game of all time, it changed the way I looked at the horror genre because it did it so much differently than other titles at the time. My favorite GC games list would be this (always try to limit to 10 because when I go beyond that things change a lot the more I reflect on my selections):
1. Super Smash Bros. Melee (played the PS2 and Xbox more than the GC but this was easily my most-played game that gen by quite a bit).
2. Resident Evil 4
3. Metroid Prime 1
4. Resident Evil 1 REmake
5. Eternal Darkness
6. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
7. Soul Calibur 2
8. F-Zero GX
9. Resident Evil Zero
10. Super Mario Sunshine
I played Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii so didn't include it in this list but if I did, it'd probably be at #2 and everything else would move down a spot.
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
And personally a big fan of Baten Kaitos... but not for everyone.
@ValhallaOutcast Depends on the game. The GameCube controller does have pressure sensitive shoulder buttons, so if a game needed that then they would need a work around.
Edit: The GC controller is my favorite.
Well, I am a big fan of Baten Kaitos, and there were two of 'em!
But it is a crime not to include Skies of Arcadia.
And what about Tales of Symphonia?
I'm keeping my GameCube forever just to play those.
Not to mention that there is a gadget you can plug into the GameCube that lets you play GBA games on TV.
Except for Mario 1000 Year Door, the rest of the "Top 21" was forgettable. Although I love your presentations and the recent 3DS list was awesome.
@drich255 gotcha so that C-Stick was essentially just a right analog stick in comparison to todays controllers?
I liked Skies of Arcadia. In fact that is my favorite GC game. Not on the list? wow. Its better than half this list in my opinion.
At this point, whenever I see something GameCube related online, I feel like an auditor who has to come in and make sure Kirby Air Ride is mentioned...
On that note, since you failed to mention KAR in this video, you guys get a strike. I'll be back in two weeks, and if you haven't corrected this error by then I'm going to have to shut NL down.
No love for Fire Emblem and Chibi Robo?
It's a great list but some clear omissions;
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (best game in series)
Ikaruga(best shumup ever made)
Ultimate Muscle (favourite wrestling game ever)
Zelda Twilight Princess
Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 (best online mmorpg ever)
Pacman VS
Zelda 4 Swords
1080 Avalanche
Wave Race Blue Storm
Rogue Squadren 2
All of these are still some of my favourite of all time.
Edit: forgot Viewtiful Joe
@firstnesfan You JUST beat me to posting the games on your list lol
Special kudos for:
Ultimate Muscle
1080 Avalanche
Pacman VS
Zelda Four Swords Adventures
Phantasy Star Online Ep. 1&2
Kirby's Air Ride gets snubbed again
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance should have been on here.
Honestly sunshine is a more coherent game than odyssey
@MartyFlanMJFan I agree 100%. RE4 is amazing.
F-Zero GX
TimeSplitters 2
Viewtiful Joe
Metroid Prime 2:Echoes
Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction
Tony Hawk 3
Resident Evil 4
Pikmin 1
Mario Sunshine
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
DDR Mario Mix
Those are the best, IMO. But Jungle Beat shouldn't bother coming to Switch without bongos.
But mostly I just want F-ZERO GX!
I would buy that on Switch without hesitation. The rest I probably wouldn't bother re-buying.
Got the Number 1 game correct!
P.N.03, Killer7, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4 and Dead Phoenix:
also known as Capcom 5, they represented Capcom's golden age.
Skies of Arcadia
I’d have given the spot for those skateboard and snowboard games to Rogue Squadron and Chibi Robo. Those would have actually been in my personal top 5. Pikmin 2 would be my number one, and actually really should have made top 5, but probably wasn’t played by as many people as those others. Glad they mentioned Beyond Good and Evil. That’s one on my list I hope for on virtual console, if we ever get it.
I really like those NintendoLife T-shirts
I'm always saying this on these lists but where's the LucasArts love Nintendolife? 🤔
@frogopus I saw he said one per franchise but not genre, there aren't any other space shooters in the list but there are 3 arcade driving games. There is still no way that game is anywhere near as good as Rogue Leader and in all honesty I could have picked half of those games out that shouldn't have been there instead of Star Wars, it's just the Simpsons game is the one that jumped out at me
@ThanosReXXX True, and none of them (except possibly Beyond Good & Evil or Timesplitters) are so obscure that someone in the market for GC recommendations wouldn’t already know something about them.
Hmm, a tough pick...
Sonic Adventure DX
Adventure 2 Battle
Heroes
Mega Collection
Riders
Shadow the Hedgehog
You see, if you're going Sonic, you got to go all the way... Except for Gems Collection, Sonic CD simply does not make the thing worth it.
Luigi's mansion, not in top 5? Spit-take!!
I actually own 19 of those 21 (plus many others that aren't). A pretty good list that. BTW Burnout and F-Zero are the ones that I don't have.
@GrailUK you can now use the WiiU adapter and plug 4 cube controllers into your switch.... i've done it... including a wavebird... mmmmmmmm
@Melkac WOW this dumb mistake, I'm sorry XD
Cube still is for many reasons my favourite home console ever, probably. Nostalgia might be one of them, admittedly. But the controller and -obviously- the superb games are too.
It NEEDS a MINI edition, and/or Switch VC.
@Nincompoop Except Dead Phoenix was never released, so that one doesn't really count as a great GameCube game, now does it?
It could have been, and I was certainly interested in it when I first saw it, but unfortunately, it ended up on the canceled games list...
These lists with all the obvious choices bore me to death. Zelda, Metroid Prime and Melee, surprise surprise! Lazy content.
If you Google: gamecube games, you will get more or less the same list, but automatically generated by the search engine algorithms.
I really don't get all these people complaining about there being no list and "only" a video instead. Making these videos is what Alex does best, and for me personally they are nearly always entertaining to watch.
And weighing in at slightly over 18 minutes, it isn't as if this is going to take away a huge chunk of your lives, so why not watch it instead of immediately complaining about it?
And when we're here, talking about all these GameCube games that we all know and love, isn't it also much nicer to have the video material to go along with it, to make the memory even more vivid, instead of just some boring list in plain, black text?
Oh well, seems you can never win, since there will always be something left to complain for some people.
As for me: thanks very much for yet another entertaining video, @AlexOlney. Cheers.
I was a bit late to the Cube party and it was largely replaced by the DS for me anyway, I remember TP was a good game but i never managed to complete it, i liked Res evil too, soul calibur 2, smash bros was my fave probably and a few others i bought for my collection long after i stopped playing it maybe its because of my age, i was already an adult when i got the GC xmas 04 and didn't even bother to open it from the packing until mid jan, i was watching the DS more closely at the time too.
I often hear about how good the GC games were, how it was the most underrated console ever and how had it not been for the mini disc system it was using, it would have sold 3 times as much as it did (which i believe would have been true), i would defo give it more attention if the games get released on the VC for the switch.
No Mario Golf and/or Mario Baseball? Bad list, brah.
Thanks to molkom above for displaying the list. No time for videos here.
The only glaring omissions are Rogue Leader and Wave Race Blue Storm. I also loved the Japanese Winning Eleven 6 Final Evolution, and FIFA World Cup 2006 and FIFA 2007 were great for FIFA games.
I have a great fondness for the Game Cube because it was the last Nintendo home system I owned before the Switch.
Zelda Wind Waker
Smash Bros Melee
Sonic Adventure 2
Mario Sunshine
Paper Mario Thousand Year Door
Pokemon Coliseum
Super Monkey Ball 2
SSX Tricky
F-Zero GX
Turok Evolution
Starfox Adventures
Donkey Konga
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Mario Kart Double Dash
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Star Wars Rogue Leader
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime Echoes
Billy Hactcher
Bloody Roar Primal Fury
Soul Calibur 2
Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer
Lord of the Rings Two Towers
Lord of the Rings Return of the King
Pikmin
Pikmin 2
Viewtiful Joe
Zoocube
While this list is good, the fact that it doesn't include Star Wars Rogue Squadron: Rogue Leader means it's a faulty list. That game is still one of the BEST Star Wars games of all time & it's one of the best games visually of all time. It still holds up incredibly well by modern graphical standards.
You basically just went through my entire GameCube library.
@wariosmith Glorious!
@Xaldin Skies of Arcadia, Baten Kaitos, Eternal Darkness and Chibi Robo are the kinds of games I'd pick up if the Gamecube virtual console became a reality. (oh and Gale of Darkness since I only ever played the original Colliseum)
There were a bunch of really interesting games I never picked up as a kid that I regret today.
Nice list. Its good to see RE 4 and Prime at the top. I got excited when prime showed up...I was spacing out and didnt remember it while watching the video. But I have to agree with RE4s controls. I loved the tension you felt while playing that game and when that first chainsaw guy appears in that first horde in the village. I stopped and didn't play it for weeks. Trauma!! But I will love it forever along with the remake of the first RE. Man GameCube was so fun!
My time with the GameCube is through the Wii (at least 50% of the time I spent on Wii) love the games and the controller. Some games that I guess are not on the list that are really great
https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/2010/02/incredible_hulk_ultimate_destruction_retro love the review too. The Buffy game 😁👍 , Prince of Persia the SoS ,Star Fox Adventures.
From the List (did not watch the video) I think I'd definitely leave out games that were done or ported better (Metroid Prime - see Wii), RE 4 (see amazing Wii version), Zelda : WW (Wii U I realize this may be debateable but it's a waste of space), Pikmin 2 (Wii.. if at all), . Now I realize that at the time if you're listing the best games they should be included but....it's just not helpful going forward. There are so many gems to track down it's just stupid to play RE4 on GC. When you got the Wii version. Beyond Good & Evil I'd keep because the GC controller is awesome, only a Wii Remote done right can take it (or possibly a good Wii U Control done right 😁 )
I know it would probably never happen, but I had a soft spot for Intellivision Lives.
@DarthFoxMcCloud What's especially impressive about that is the fact it was a freakin' launch title!
Personally, I've always found "Mega Man: Network Transmission" to be extremely underrated. Story-wise, it's essentially Battle Network 1.5 (from the GBA sub-series). However, it mixes together the gameplay from the Battle Network games with the gameplay of the classic and X games in a way that makes it better than either of those playstyles on their own! Somehow, it just works brilliantly, and alongside the graphical upgrade it gets as a GameCube game, this is actually the best of the Battle Network games and one of the best console Mega Man games (from any series) ever made.
@gaga64 This issue has been raised many times in the past but it appears they are not listening or simple don't care.
Hard to narrow it down to 21. I'd certainly go for the first Monkey Ball over its sequel and as @samuelvictor says, SSX Tricky over SSX 3.
In roughly chronological order....
Wave Race
Luigi's Mansion
Super Monkey Ball
Rogue Leader
SSX Tricky
Smash Bros Melee
Mario Sunshine
Simpsons Hit & Run
Wind Waker
Metroid Prime
Burnout 2
F-Zero GX
Freedom Fighters
Skies of Arcadia
Prince of Persia Sands of Time
Paper Mario TTYD
Pikmin 2
Resident Evil 4
Second Sight
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Chibi Robo
I prefer the Wii remakes of these titles. Metroid Prime as part of the Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii added widescreen and remote/nunckuck controls that I got use to when I had Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii before the Trilogy. Pikman 2 is awful on the Gamecube compared to the Wii version thanks to the remote/nunchuck controls but a great game on either system. Twilight Princess is awesome but best left for your 'Best Games for the Wii'. I would add the Donkey Konga games only because of the unique controller...BONGO DRUMS! It's great on multi-player AND the drums still work on the Wii.
I see a lot of third-party games, multiplats and late ports being mentioned. Of course, in 2002 they were games rather than something to moan about online and we were happy to play the likes of SSX Tricky, Burnout 2, Tony Hawk's and Timesplitters 2 without getting upset about them being ports. Looking back they add a great deal of depth and variety to the systems library and contribute to it being remembered so fondly. Ah well. It was a simpler time.
I hate to be that guy, but... I'm 99% sure the right side of the road is... well, on the right for a just as high percentage of the planet.
@subpopz Metroids are asexual, they reproduce asexually.
Hello
Is there ever gonna be another game like eternal darkness on a nintendo system
