Indie studio Rock Pocket has confirmed that it is bringing its multiplayer competitive brawler Starflux Rivals to the Nintendo Switch.
Inspired by Smash Bros. and Worms, the title boasts destructible terrain, gravity-based gameplay, three game modes and six playable characters. Throw in environmental hazards, blocks, dashes and throws and you've got quite an interesting proposition - as the trailer above attests.
Built using Unity, Starflux Rivals is also coming to Steam. Rock Pocket has also revealed that another of its titles, Shiftlings, is coming to Nintendo's console too - although it's listed for Wii U release as well, so we might need a bit more clarification on that one. Described as a "colourful puzzle platformer with a twist", you control two characters who are tethered together through 55 challenging levels.

I might get this. It actually looks pretty cool.
They both look quite interesting for me, but I'm gonna need more details before getting really excited. Either way, it's awesome to keep getting new indie announcements seemingly every day.
Meh...
Not for me.
Procedural generated....Please tell me there's premade environments.
Same space backgrounds and no asteroid hazards.....eh..idk anymore....Not buying this.
I’ll wait for Smash Bros.
But what happened to Pocket Rumble?!!?!
Destructible environments in a brawler/platform fighter? Sounds pretty cool
I already have Shiftlings on Wii U. It's a good and challenging co-op puzzle platformer like Spelunker Party or Chariot.
Roguelike, procedurally generated just stop with this now, Its Smash bros.
Normally 'procedurally-generated' is a turn-off, but I might feel differently about it being applied to a Smash-style game. I need to know more about the game before taking real interest--I need to see if any of the playable characters is appealing visually...so far all I'm seeing is bland/ugly aliens and robots and one lame human.
