... I think this is the greatest news I had all year. =')

I imagine this will come to the West soon enough, hopefully with all the games. If it does then definitely picking it up!

I'll still pick this up, it's a low-key way to get a River City collection. This is one of the reasons to have a Japanese eShop account.

Given the sheer import-friendliness of including the 5 English language games, if the price is right, I won't even bother waiting for news of a localisation - network play in River City Ransom alone is something I'd consider a worthwhile purchase due to how much time I've sunk into that game over the years.

World Cup on NES was soooo good. With a surprisingly in-depth settings for the AI.

I have no problem with the barrier, used to know a little bit of the language 15 years ago. If it ends up on a card and the price is right I'm game.

@Ooyah The original renegade was a conversion of the first game in the Kunio-Kun series, so developed by Technos. All subsequent Renegade titles were developed by Ocean Software, who licensed out the name Renegade from Technos, so I doubt Arc System Works has the rights to re-release those games.

Fantastic news! I played some of these games on NES clone in the 90's and they were in Japanese (I didn't know English at all then, so this wasn't inconvenience for me), so even if we don't get localised version, I'll simply import.

Yohoo it even has NES Nintendo World Cup on that collection!!! This is a huge collection, hope it comes to the West on retail.

Hello, I have an interesting question. This is indeed good game collection but I wonder why this collection doesn't include the four PC-Engine/CD versions of the games?

Here are four games that are released for the PC-Engine/CD:
*Nekketsu Kōkō Dodgeball Bu: PC Bangai Hen
*Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari
*Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundōkai
*Nekketsu Kōkō Dodgeball Bu: CD Soccer Hen

I like this compilation approach better than a slow bleed of $7.99/per digital download. Really cool.

only thing missing for me is the SNES titles from this series.

I'm picking this up in Japanese even if there's a chance I'll end up owning it twice. Love me some Kunio!

@Dazza All those games are the western versions of games that WERE released in Japan.
(the only confusing thing is that Taito published "Renegade", the western version of Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun (I think that's the name). But Taito also published another game with a similar name "Target: Renegade", which is not related to Kunio and was not released in Japan.)

Now that I think about it, the one interesting thing might be whether it supports the save function in Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari. The game originally used a third-party memory card-like device called the ASCII Turbo File to save, and was one of only a couple games to support the device that weren't made by ASCII (Enterbrain) themselves.

Third good news on switch for me since Zelda BOTW and Mario O announcements... But it may not be adapted for the West ?
Oh well... As much as I'd love to play on my switch, I guess I'll simply go back to my PS4 where there is real good Japanese games to fulfill my needs 😉

Wow, that's quite the impressive bundle.

This would be an instant day 1 buy for me if it ever got a western release. The language barrier is what is stopping me from getting the japanese release.

I'm hoping this gets a physical release as well like the 3DS games.
I'll import it immediately then.
Glad to see Kunio-kun no Nekketsu Soccer League on there as well as it's one of the very few soccer games that I've actually enjoyed over the years.

i wish the other sfc game was in the collection then i believe all the beat em ups would be there besides the 2 3ds games and the one still to come to 3ds...i love the series myself

@ogo79 PC Engine (even with CD) is still technically 8-bit. Neo Geo is just 16 bit overkill.

Retail for me. But I'd like them to explain if they're going to be arcade versions (if available) or NES/Famicom only.
