Nintendo has licensed quite a few board games and sets over the years - we have themed Monopoly, checkers and chess boards for various franchises, and more keep coming. Now USAopoly has unveiled what seems to be a relatively unique game - Super Mario Level Up!.
It looks quite intriguing, with a '3D' board and all sorts of items and cards at play - check it out below.
It's 'coming soon' to North America and will only cost $19.95USD. Let us know whether you're interested in this down in the comments below.
With thanks to Luke for the heads up.

Looks interesting, but I'm afraid it's going to be a little simple game. We'll see!
Yeah, something tells me it just looks fun and...well, probably for young children. No idea why they haven't attempted to make a Mario Party yet, minigames would be a challenge, but it's possible.
It looks great. Hoping for a UK release
Asset usage seems lazy. On the cover you've got a Mario render taken from Super Mario 3D World, next to a Luigi render from an earlier game or resource. They clash due to different lighting sources and rendering quality.
@Joeynator3000 If only the eReader had taken off....
I'll make it in Tabletop Simulator!
@Joeynator3000 but they did make MARIO Party awhile back. It optionally used the Game Boy Advance e-Reader attachment, but you could play the game without that.
...I take that back, I want a Fortune Street board game. lol
This is so sad.
There are no levels in Mario games.
Like "Level 1, 3, 9...etc."
eh, rather see a normal board
Hmm. Might make for a cool amiibo stand though
We're probably going to own this, we have chess, checkers, a Mario & Pikachu Connect 4 set I made by gluing pictures of Mario to the red pieces and pictures of Pikachu to the yellow pieces and Pokémon Monopoly.
For those interested in this type of stuff, Toys R Us in the US now has an entire aisle of Nintendo related merchandise and Pokémon cards and toys. Plus they are the only store with a rather large amiibo selection.
@RupeeClock Yikes, you're right. Two models right next to each other, but with noticeably different lighting, texturing, and quality.
Nintendo's been having huge issues with recycling assets. They've been using the same stock photos, sound effects and music completely unaltered for years now. They want their IP to look consistent and professional, but it just comes off as lazy and uninspired.
The title overhyped me just a bit. They should make a game with a board with a path but that board is in 3D and looks like a SM3DW level. Even better if you could rearrange the pieces to create even more boards.
@RupeeClock @Phantom_R Actually all of those except Daisy and Yoshi are from 3D World.
Toad and Luigi are from this image

EDIT: Actually not sure where that Peach came from either.
I'd buy this. My oldest son is only 4, but I could try and see if he'll figure it out.
Releasing exclusively on cardboard because Switch is so underpowered.
Cool! When will Europe get this?
@nhSnork shows how much you really know.there was a article the other day which stated it is close to the ps4 and xbone.Indies don't even have to make 2 games.lol I'll follow behind to catch your salt.
Wario is in it, so I'm down
I have a baaaad feeling about this one. Maybe it's that uninspiring company name, maybe it's the cheap look of the characters and board, maybe it's the leveling up bit as if to try to relate to generic video games (and no, this Mario paper aint looking like Paper Mario), maybe it's the seemingly random usage of the images...I dunno, the whole package just seems off.
Looks like it could be fun, but I'm not sure how I feel about the "vote up" and "vote down" aspect of the game. Guess it depends on how it's implemented. I'm pretty sure these are mock up images and not the final product, so maybe they can fix a few of the packaging inconsistencies.
Wow, what if we don't know how to play that Mario Level Up ?
Simple. Just pretend we are use that for different purpose. We can use that to play Real Monopoly or another Board games.
Problem solved.
I'm definitely interested. I'd pay $20 to play some mario board games with my kids.
@Joeynator3000 They made Mario Party-e. It's a card game that uses the e-reader for minigames. But yeah, its not really the same thing.
This looks horrible.
They should have just made an online, amiibo-compatible Monopoly featuring easily recognizable IPs for 3DS/Switch.
Atonement for MP10 and a reason to buy more amiibos.....because Roy still can't be used in Fates.
This is a new edition of a boardgame published some time ago by Mayfair games with the title "Viva il Re!". When first released it got a reccomendation from the jury of the Game of the Year award in Germany (most important game award in the world). In this version they've added a few rules like the power ups to match the Super mario franchise better.
It's a simple but clever game, enjoyable both by adults and kids.
@Slim1999 and your reply shows how increasingly much I suck at transparent sarcasm. XD I'm the last person to question Switch's power. And even if I did, DQH1•2 demo alone is pretty eloquent in that regard.
I wonder who the other 4 characters are 🤔
UPDATE:
By looking in the box I have discovered that Magikoopa, Toad and Donkey kong are characters.
