Blaster Master Zero will land on the Nintendo Switch eShop this Thursday in Europe and North America, and to celebrate there's a new trailer which you can view above.
The game uses the original 1988 NES title Blaster Master from Sunsoft as its base, with the addition of new areas and bosses, fresh gameplay elements (such as extra sub-weapons), improved gameplay, a more robust scenario and expanded exploration mechanics.
We have to say this sounds really well suited to the Switch eShop and has HD Rumble features and a co-op multiplayer mode, too. Will you be picking this up later this week, or is that a silly question?

this looks like fun, intrigued to know its price point
I will be getting this. I think it's $9.99 US. I thought I saw $12.49 or something like that on the Canadian eshop
Looks good, just not sure when I'd find time to play it.
Day one, just don't know if I want it on my Switch or my 3DS if it has 3D effect I most likely will be getting it on my 3DS if not then I will get Switch version though a cross platform option would be really awesome.
Haven't checked the video yet but isn't the co-op mode a shameless cop-out? Pun intended.
Instant buy for me. If I squint my eyes, I can see Mega Man in there
Is it cross buy does anybody know??
Big fan of the original NES title, might have to give this a go.
Super excited about the Gunvolt DLC. Getting this for the Switch!
I never played the original, and always wondered why it was never included on the NES Mini. I am so excited to get this game on Thursday and play it.
On a different note, is there going to be a European Downloads article this week?
Definitely on this. The revival of the classics is one of the most appealing aspects of Switch. Bomberman, Street Fighter II, Blaster Master, Sonic Mania... this is great.
@fox_mattcloud
Its crossbuy for Switch owners (every game is a handheld and console version) but not in the traditional sense, no. Thankfully Switch kind of solves that issue. Every game is crossbuy! 😉
It's gonna use HD Rumble too? And multiplayer?? Awesome! The original is one of my favorite classics ever. Soooo getting this. Seems like a good fit for tabletop mode with the two joycons.
So is this game no longer about getting back his pet frog?
Isn't that the same trailer as the one in the Nindies Direct? Looks the same.
It looks fun, and $10 is pretty reasonable, all things considered.
Anyone confirm that the Pro Controller is not compatible with this? At least the joycons aren't as bad as the sideways remote on Blaster Master Overdrive...
And yes, still about his frog, but more his rare specimen than a pet.
one of my most anticipated titles
@SwitchFanatic at $10 ill be stoked
Was initially scared because Inti Creates but this actually looks pretty good. Interested in the reviews.
@SwitchFanatic if it is 9.99$ I will get it for sure.
I'm buying this.... I'm buying this so hard.
The original is my favorite game of all time. Yep.
So no early Nintendo Download update then? Hope they won't stop those because of the Switch... :/
I was skeptical when I first saw this aways back, but this trailer hit all the right notes for me. This might be my next eShop purchase because of the value proposition and timing.
1-2 Switch, Bomberman, SnipperClips and Zelda is plenty right now. Snipperclips is more fun than expected and now with 4 player (because we just got our second set of JoyCon delivered) it has some fun silly mini-games too. Zelda + SnipperClips is a great pair of complementary games actually.
