EnjoyUp Games is likely a familiar name to some eShop aficionados, with the developer and publisher being prolific on the 3DS and Wii U. It's now announced another project as part of its publishing activities - Mutant Alien Moles of the Dead by Pixel Bones Studio.
It looks rather colourful and could certainly be rather fun, promising a 'game of reflexes' that mixes up gameplay. You can see some screenshots and an official description below.

Mutant Alien Moles of the Dead is a game of reflexes in which your mission is to foil the plans of an alien invader that is attempting to conquer the planet from underground. Can you defeat the aliens and save the planet?
To do that, you'll have to whack the aliens with your hammer as soon as they pop up through the holes. But be careful! You'll have to be quick, because as soon as they see you, they'll pounce and try to bite you!
Rediscover the classic Whack-A-Mole with the added diversity of events and extras, such as rock-paper-scissors battles, power ups and much more, making Mutant Alien Moles a challenge for both young and old. Are you ready?
Features:
- Fully tactile
- Power-ups
- A colorful, carefree world
- Stage bosses
- Rock-paper-scissors battles
- Game & Watch style platform stage
- A secret level for more experienced players.
No firm release date or pricing has been shared yet, but normally the period between announcement and release of EnjoyUp's games is relatively snappy.
Do you like the look of this one?

Whack-A-Mole Wii U with extras.
A failed game on a failed console.
I really liked the "Whack a Monty Mole" minigame included in the original New Super Mario Bros.,so I'm really interested in this.
Well, I mostly like the clean and colour low-poly 3D visuals at least.
@ThomasBW84
Dude, the palm-inward (or inward-palm? At times English grammar eludes my grasp) version of the V-sign is a middle finger substitute in, like, Commonwealth countries and nowhere else.
Off-topic: still no word on a Butterfly: Inchworm Animation II review?
Looks interesting! I'll keep an eye on this one.
@AlexSora89 yep, and that's exactly why it amazes me how quick they always are in pointing out that it's not the abusive version but the innocent "scissor" version lol
If I'm not mistaken, I've seen such a "disclaimer" (if we wanna call it that) in a recent article in here.
Imagine my poor younger self confronted with such innocent-looking fingers being treated as something abusive...it had confused the heck out of me for a long time before I got to know the real meaning ahahahahahah
P.S.: I could be wrong, so wait for the Brits' replies, but I think it's "palm inward".
@clvr
Yep. I wouldn't even think of a middle finger substitute. To me that will always be a v-sign and nothing else.
Well that seems umm interesting.
