Animal Crossing! Why is there no love?

My top 5 would be

• Zelda
• smash bros (with lots of new characters and storymode)
• pokken (or another pokemon game)
• Fzero
• Metroid

im hype. but, im keeping my expectations low. but i Would like to see a reveal for Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, or Wario World.

My five for lauch would be:
Breath of the Wild
Fire Emblem Warriors
New Metroid
Xenoblade Chronicles x2 (not going to happen but can dream)
Splat2n not a port, but a new game with more of everything

I'd love to see Kid Icarus with a deeper combat system. Nothing too complicated. Maybe along the lines of Darksiders 2. Star Fox and Metroid. Although Metroid doesn't have to be Prime 4 and should be from a developer other than Retro Studio. Retro have done enough Metroid games and I look forward to seeing something different from them.

1 dk64 sequel (less collectathon)
2 Metroid prime 4
3 Mario 64 sequel or at least with a grand hub with many things to discover
4 Pokemon switch (not stars but finally the one we al have been waiting for with superb graphics)
5 An amiibo open world game that will add a lot of value to my amiibo purchases

So I like a lot of the ideas, but I feel like the list is maybe just haphazardly thrown together.

Everything on this at most 13 months old. We can wish for some ports, which I'm always down for, but at the same time a new Kirby game? It's been like 7 months. A new Yoshi? They're re-releasing that on 3DS later this year. A new Metroid? Yeah, like it or not, but Fed. Force came out. And considering the sales once again prove that Metroid games will not sell (this isn't a new trend, even among "true" Metroids), so I doubt Nintendo is keen to bump that up the list for a launch.
All and all, I think it's just a bit easier to say "Nintendo should have all of it's franchises on the Switch at some point" which is pretty much how they've done nearly every console.

Well, aside from what is rumoured or confirmed to be coming (and possible Wii U ports), I'd love to play:

1. DONKEY KONG COUNTRY: against Kremlings (!) where you actually play with different Kongs as we did in SNES instead of DK only.
2. KINGDOM HEARTS: the entire series, please! Some entries have been on Nintendo portables before, so it could happen.
3. LUIGI'S MANSION III: I barely played the first one (but I loved the little I did) and the second one was awesome.
4. TOMB RAIDER / RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER: add all future games in the series as well. Nintendo needs more action/adventure realistic games and the first one was simply perfect.
5. FINAL FANTASY XV: because a son needs to come back home eventually, might as well be now. Add all future games too, thanks.
Xtra. FIRE EMBLEM: best strategy/rpg game ever.

There are lots more, but these were the 6 non-obvious ones that came to mind.

They're never going to make the metroid everyone wants and star fox was more like a mini game! Hope Nintendo make some smart choices when picking switch games

I'll only buy for the first party games however they need the bigger third party fillers more games for the casuals just more and yes they need FIFA

5. A Mario Golf that uses Wii Motion Plus and a full set of clubs (Not like wii sports resort where you only get a single driver, wood, iron and putter).

My wish :
1. Animal Crossing Switch version.
2. Cute Boxing games like Animal Boxing NDS
3. Cute RPG like Fantasy Life 3DS.
4. Somewhat like Go Vacation Wii.
5. LEGO games without Western licensed franchises (I have no interest at all with Star Wars, Harty Potter, Marvel Heroes , etc)

@AlexOlney Great video as always Alex, you never cease to amuse me. But I honestly want completely new games, whole new experience and concept. Not that I'm tired of the already well delivered games, ports, sequels and their re-releases, but I wish we get more than that. I don't mind at all if it will be from the niches we all know so well (so not that new at all hah), but I want to see it in a new light. Some new story, new elements, completely new look. Old is good, but in case of what Switch promises to offer (or what Nintendo promised) a want to see something new.

Reading all the list. It seems everyone just wants Nintendo games. Nintendo games for Nintendo switch. This will sell well to Nintendo fans

I want an open-world Nintendo franchise crossover: world as expansive as GTA, driving like Mario Kart, fighting like smash, parkour like assassins creed, then put all of Nintendo's great characters in it.

Hey, "Metroid: Other M" doesn't deserve that kind of insult. While your milage may vary on the story, the presentation and gameplay are both excellent.

I couldn't agree more with the #1. A proper Metroid needs to happen. How about a new trilogy in the vein of Prime. I have a strong hunch that this presentation will include at least the title of the Retro Studios game that they've been working on for who knows how long now.
