Ganon / Ganondorf is one of the most iconic villains ever created by Nintendo, and his role in The Legend of Zelda endures; even in titles where he's not the direct villain, his influence and power often still hang over the scene.
Now Did You Know Gaming has published a nice video looking at some quirky facts around the villain, including his surprise weaknesses to bug nets and fishing rods - this writer has an urge to try those techniques out.
We can't wait to see what this foe's been up to in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in spirit form or otherwise. Some of Link's most iconic moments have been in battles with his Gerudo enemy - here's hoping for more to come.

Ganon should not be canon
Interesting, as always! So Journey to the west also influenced Ganon's design! That story has a impact on many Japanese things, so it seems.
@Henmii It's amazing how much that one story influenced.
I knew of him being a half pig though that disappeared in later games with the addition of Dorf on his name. I didn't know that his name is Gaelic and I'm Irish myself. That's a very interesting video.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE You're Irish? I never would have guessed.
@Solid_Stannis Ha ha! I knew someone would say that. I know a lot know but not everyone.
@gizmoto Speak for yourself. Some of us must, in accordance with laws and statutes, inform others of their dual citizenship with Sony when asked.
Ganon IS the canon. (But on the side, he eats Dannon. )
He's my favorite video game baddie. I know many are have been tired of him being included in game after game. I just feel like there is so much untapped history they can explore with Ganon (and the Gerudos in general). I'll forever love WW's Ganon.
I remember hearing about the Shadow of the Colossus -esque idea for the Ganon fight a few years back. I was disappointed they didn't implement the idea in Skyward Sword, which had the stamina meter. I feel like that would have been a perfect match.
