Pokémon Generations is heading towards its finale, after many weeks of entertaining videos that have proven to be hits on YouTube. The story has shifted to recent times, too, with Pokémon X & Y.
Episode 16: The Beauty Eternal is focused on Lysandre and his hair, and adopts more story-building than the mwahaha-ing enemies and powerful Pokémon unleashing chaos that we've seen in various episodes. Episode 17 may get back to that approach, though.

Nothing special this time but I still liked it. It isn't the worst episode. Best thing about this one was Team Flare's theme. I'm still tired of Lumiose City music though. I liked it back when X & Y came out but got bored of it due to hearing it all the time. Not only in the game itself but I had already heard it multiple times in the trailers and Smash has it too.
Great serie, a must I must say.
I still think Colress should win the Pokemon Crazy Hair awards, but there are a lot of worthy contenders.
It's amazing how stupid this story was in the game but how cool it looks in this video.
I like how I liked team flare more here than the entire game. If the game had more scenes like this team flare may have actually been interesting. Nice video though.
I want to see this movie.
Not my favorite of the series, but I think I learned more about Lysandre in this 4 1/2 minute video than the entirety of Pokemon Y when I played it.
+1 for the Yveltal cameo, though.
It's funny seeing how they try so hard to make the guy with all the obvious evil screaming from his design appear like an ambiguous Steve Jobs type.

Yup. Even for Pokemon I found it too difficult to suspend my disbelief over team flare. It was just so overwhelmingly stupid.
I felt that Lysandre in the game was way to generic and to-the-book type of villain even for Pokemon standards. Anime Lysandre was okay since they gave him at least some background.
Guess I'll hope this episode at least gives game Lysandre more background.
This was the pokemon generations episode with less pokemon appearances.
Never watched the Anime series' depiction of him, but I will say the way he is depicted here makes me confused how his head works, as well as how much time passes through those events. If he had Yveltal prior/during the release of the Holo Caster, why on earth did it take him so long to finish the task? Was acquiring all the Pokemon really all that delayed him? Also I was hoping we'd get some interaction with him and Sycamore too.
For some reason I tended to like Lysandre more than most Villans in the Pokemon series. Hated the generic nature of his admins and all the red, but oh well.
...really hope next week is entirely about AZ's backstory/redemption. That would be quite cool. Or better yet, make that the last episode and make it a bit longer.
Are we getting Alola episodes? Probably not, but I'd love to see at least one. So much potential.
