This should be an exciting weekend for fans of the competitive fighting game scene, with Evo 2016 underway. Nintendo games have a presence, as always, through Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Pokkén Tournament.
The world's best players will be battling it out, and today is a day for the early qualifying rounds. You can see the action below, and we'll be sure to be sharp and have the streams posted for the action's kick-off tomorrow; we also plan to live blog the Melee finals on Sunday.

I'm participating at EVO today in Smash 4 and Pokkén, can't wait!
Good luck, Handy_Man.
@Adam .....Where have you been? lol
I still check articles here everyday, just don't comment much, partly because there isn't much Nintendo-related to comment on of late.
Did you have another user name once upon a time? I don't recognize it.
@Adam I usually just go with random anime girls, chances are I'm gonna change it to my Twitter/Youtube username at some point, though.
Wish subscribing wasn't limited to just one channel when it comes to Evo.
@Adam Thanks! I bought a couple of custom Amiibo from GandaKris, and my Pokkén pool starts very soon. Love it here.
Wooo going to EVO next year!!!!!
