Nintendo of America has unveiled a hefty list of eShop discounts (we're compiling the list at the time of writing), and Nintendo of Europe has also pitched in. It's added two titles to its existing 5 year anniversary sale to give an extra retail treat for the region.
Both iterations of the current-gen Super Smash Bros. are 35% off until 21st July, UK prices below:
- Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS - £25.99 (normally £39.99)
- Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - £32.49 (normally £49.99)
If you have a My Nintendo account you get an extra 10% off the discount price, which means a 41% discount off the full price.
Are any of you in Europe planning to grab these discounts?

Unfortunately this only puts them on par with (or even still slightly more than) retail copies.
nintendo of american sales are horrible ... we recited only few games comparing to EU sales ..i was looking forward buying a lot of VC's games ... but we had only 2 games for zelda GBC
But I already have all of the games on sale!! Can j just have the difference back in eshop credit??
I just bought smash a week ago!
Majoras Mask, Paper Jam, Splatoon & Wind Waker for me!
But most people already own this game already
I got an email from them with this offer a little while ago,a 'just for you' offer .Except I've had this game for 1 and a half years and it cost me less than what they're offering now. They should be called 'just for everyone' as there's nothing personal about them.
I've never played Smash on 3DS - I'll look into a couple of reviews but would anyone mind letting me know how they find the handheld controls? I always find that fighting game controls seem to adapt very poorly onto the 3DS.
Anyone know if the DLC is getting a discount? Would be a good excuse to grab the extra stages.
I only have the 3DS version and utterly love it, I've sunk many many hours into it
I find the controls to be okay, personally I've never had problems with them
I think Game are offering Smash Bros for £31 as a download - £26 is definitely a saving of some sort. But I think I'll miss out on dipping in for now seeing as I've got the Wii U version.
You've got to try a little harder than that Nintendo.
Sooo, DLC sale???
Yep, still haven't got a piece of DLC for this one... Collecting the amiibos for this game is expensive enough.
Gotta do better Nintendo of Europe....just..... le sigh
@Dakt same I want at least 2 or 3 chars but I cant buy the dlc bundle with all the chars coz I own mewtwo.
Meh Smash is not my thing and the discounted price is still too damn high to make me buy it on impulse.
@Uberchu I've done calculations and the bundles have no discounts compared with buying items individually so for example:
Bumper Fighter Bundle (Wii U) = £31.43
Individual items
Mewtwo (Wii U) = £3.59
Roy (Wii U) = £3.59
Lucas (Wii U) = £3.59
Ryu & Suzaku Castle (Wii U) = £5.39
Cloud & Midgar (Wii U) = £5.39
Bayonetta & Umbra Clock Tower (Wii U) = £5.39
Corrin (Wii U) = £4.49
Which totals £31.43. You lose absolutely nothing by buying Smash DLC separately unless you buy Wii U DLC and then 3DS DLC of the same thing!
Nintendon't takes bad example from EA, Ubisoft and other rip-off companies. And it is 41% discount total or 38,5% (because 10% from 35 is 3,5... or i am calculating bad?) I am calculating good. I went to eshop... Nintendo is "generous" 41%...
It is tempting offer because there are only few games on Nintendo 3ds with online multiplayer. But without dlcs? Not very tempting .
