Some of you may remember the TwitchPlaysPokémon phenomenon form a couple years back, wherein the comments section of a live Twitch stream of Pokémon had collective, direct control of Red throughout his adventure. It was definitely an interesting experiment, and naturally it was an extremely chaotic and meandering journey.
The TwitchPlays template has since been adapted to dozens of other games, all with the same goal. However, Twitch decided to step up the game this past weekend with a pre-Super Bowl event called the "Bucking Couch Bowl". Here, popular streamers would sit on a mechanical bull that was repurposed into a couch and play games while spectators controlled the bull in the comments. One of the games on the roster was Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and you can watch one of the streamers attempt at it below:
What do you think? Were you a part of this event? What are some ideas you have for community driven affairs like this? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I'd refer to this couch as the H. A. B. couch.

In case you want to know what the acronym stands for, it's a nickname for such couches hailing from the Questionable Content fanbase, as named by Marten in the closing panel of strip 646:
Ouch, I'm afraid the NSFW dialogue in the page I just linked to in my post has kept other NLers from commenting.
