SteamWorld Heist is a game with many qualities, and one of these is most certainly the soundtrack. Image & Form teamed up with US band Steam Powered Giraffe, a neat three-piece group that performs and writes music in the steampunk aesthetic.
The band has now hosted an episode of Image & Form's Engine Room video series answering questions from fans. They cover topics including how they came to be involved in the game, signing off on their in-game characters, and of course choosing their favourite hats.
Check it out below, and if you want to buy the SteamWorld Heist official soundtrack you should check out the band's official website.

Steam Powered Giraffe! I'd be genuinely surprised if anyone here has heard of them. I've been listening to them for a few years, seriously talented group with a very unique sound. I urge anyone looking for something different to check them out. Really really great music!
I'm on second play through already and the in game music was great! it's nice to see the creativity behind 'heist' in this vid.
@KrakenSoup Oh I've definitely heard of them too as I'm into the Steampunk aesthetic. I just prefer other bands to them. The are still pretty different musically to other steampunk bands though.
I liked Steam Powered Giraffe before they were cool. Captain Albert Alexander baby!
@KrakenSoup I have known about them for a couple of years. You should be about to explode from all the surprise right now!
@J-Manix98 I liked them back when they were just pedal-powered giraffe. I am therefore the coolest

I'm not really a fan of Sam' singing, he was better on the drums.

@tealicious That's awesome. I found out about SPG a few years ago and been hooked ever since. I even got my friend into them, who is near impossible to convince to like anything. Lol. All of their albums have been nothing short of amazing.
@CHET_SWINGLINE Indeed I am! I liked them back when they were just pretend robots too. So i am the coolest just like you
@KrakenSoup Lolz. In all seriousness though, they're a pretty talented group. It's not the type of music I would normally listen to, and I'm not into steampunk, but I grew up a major choir and theater nerd so their flair and appeal isn't lost on me. And I think "Honeybee" is probably one of my favorite songs that I've come across over the last few years.
So was I the only one hoping for an animated steam powered giraffe answering questions?
