Bravely Second: End Layer recently made its debut in Europe, and it's certainly another one to add to the list of excellent RPG experiences on the 3DS. The sequel delivers on various fronts, and has had a decent start in the UK charts.

On its debut week the Nintendo / Square Enix-published title has secured 12th place in the all-format charts, and a very creditable 9th in the single-format stakes. The only new releases to outperform it were multi-platform efforts, with Far Cry Primal and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 taking the top two places in the top 40.

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, after a strong launch week, has maintained reasonable momentum; it dropped from 9th to 15th in the all-format chart.

Some other areas of note - Project X Zone 2 plummeted from 2nd to 19th in the 3DS chart, a sharp drop in its second week. In the Wii U chart Xenoblade Chronicles X had a decent seven days, rising from 7th to 3rd place.

All in all, Nintendo UK may be quietly satisfied with its two 3DS releases showing fairly well in the UK top 40. Next week, of course, will bring the chart entry of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD on Wii U.
