It's time to extend that mortgage, amiibo collectors, as four more figures are confirmed for an 18th March release in Europe. This time around they're in the Animal Crossing series, with four (or five, but we'll get to that) series stalwarts joining the ranks.
So, who are these four? Observe below.
- Isabelle
- Tommy & Timmy
- Kapp'n
- Rover
Timmy & Tommy (or Tommy & Timmy?) aren't the first amiibo characters to team up on one base, as we did have Rosalina & Luma in the past.
Are any of you planning to pick these up?

Need money....
Edit: more money...
Great, let's have a second Isabelle figure, just because spring and autumn.
That Rover though.
The year is 2018......
Nintendo, I remember didn't they used to make games?
I would murder for Kapp'n.
Didn't the duck hunt duo share a base also?
A second Isabelle is pushing it I think. Might get myself Timmy and Tommy.
Don't forget everyone... The R.O.B (Famicom Colours) amiibo, Roy amiibo and Ryu amiibo also come out on the same day. March 18th.
Not keen on getting another Isabelle. Now we need Gold Isabelle, Silver Isabelle and 8 bit Isabelle.
Timmy and Tommy will be mine! 😍
i think the reason they are releasing Isabelle is the only way to get it before now is to buy it bundled with AC Amiibo Festival
@Dakt presumably both Happy Home Designer and Amiibo Festival
Based on the costumes in Super Mario Maker, it's no shock to see these announced.
@sinalefa Can't wait for 8-Bit Isabelle!
I prefer Isabelle's spring outfit, so I'll mostly buy that one.
@sinalefa
8-bit Isabelle based on the Super Mario Maker costume sounds pretty nice actually.
Mind you it's not actually 8-bit, since 8-bit refers to the availability of colors rather than the low resolution or blockiness of graphics.
Actual NES sprites have a limit of 4 colors per tile (which has to include transparency) and only a small palette to pick from.
I'm in for an Isabelle whenever we get a stand-alone release.
Maybe one of the others here... although she's the only "must have" for me.
im not sure how i feel about this ,,, but i don't ike how much they focus on amiibo and forget making good video games and consoles ... i not sure how i feel about nintendo the last 2 years ... although I'm a big fan since 90's !! but i don't like what they are doing last 2 years !!! .... i hope they stop focusing on amiibooo cuz they are suck
I'm done with the Animal Crossing amiibo. I've got enough AC amiibo already and don't need any more. Plus these aren't very useful other than for being other characters in Amiibo Festival. Plus I have no need for a second Isabelle.
Having Gold Mega Man not release in Europe did a very good job at snapping me out of my amiibo addiction since that made me realise it's not worth trying to get all of them.
CAPP'N! Well, now I can finally say "Shut up and take my money" to AC Amiibo. Give me a Brewster and I'll say it again.
AAARGH! Still no pelly (or polly)
@sinalefa I'm waiting for Japan to get lesbian Isabella, but then they make her hetero in the West.
Almost on topic -
Chibi Robo amiibo for $6.67 at Amazon US

Is the Isabella just a stand alone release of the previously bundled version? I cant see any difference!
Rover is bae.
So cuuute! Neeed Isabelle and Kappn! I love AC Amiibo.
@RupeeClock
I love that.
@BrizzoUK
Well for people who don't wanna buy the AC Party game.
@G0dlike She has a different dress and a slightly -SLIGHTLY- different pose, that's all. The first edition was the "Winter" version of Isabelle, while this might be the spring (or summer) version of Isabelle, I suppose..
@RupeeClock
I know I wouldn't mind an 8 bit Link amiibo for the 30th anniversary this year. But yes, the MM design of Isabelle is what I had in mind.
@Tempestryke
Ah in Europe at least I know some sites sell her separately
@Cesco its as I feared..... Now I have to get it!!!
@sinalefa Which would actually be the 4th Link amiibo.
Still beaten by Yoshi though, with a total 6 different amiibo!
@BrizzoUK
Ooh. That's cool. :3
I wonder if this version of Isabelle will have her own set of outfits too when leveled up, would be odd if she didn't.
Seeing Timmy & Tommy is tempting me to buy Tom now to have a family set.
If I had to pick one, it would be Isabelle since I'd rather not buy Amiibo Festival to get her.
Oh, Kapp'n - me wants!!!!! XD
@Captain_Gonru amiibo only, sorry to get you so worked up. I thought it was worth mentioning at that price, and I thought it was a pack-in only so seeing it separate caught my attention.
You tempted at all by AC:aF at $30? 2 amiibo and 3 cards makes it seem reasonable though I know you have no interest in the game.
I'm pretty positive that 99% of the people that buy the Animal Crossing amiibos are just collectors. Seriously, does anyone care about the game they are associated with? If so, I'm fine with it. Just curious.
@wiggleronacid I know I don't!
@RupeeClock Since you got all technical and you seem to know your stuff, I'll just suggest to you that 8-bit doesn't actually refer to the colors either. It's the size of memory that the processor can work with in one cycle. Sometimes 8-bit color is used to describe one set of 256 colors, but when we talk about NES being an 8-bit machine we are (usually) talking about the main proc.
Color memory was so complicated back then!
Definitely getting the Tommy & Timmy amiibo, looks great to me and they're too cute to pass up. ^^
