Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer might not have been the Animal Crossing game fans had hoped for, but it still has its fans - and those same fans will no doubt be over the moon to hear that a host of new video game-related items are on their way.
The items are due to arrive next month in Japan, and include racks full of games, an amiibo stand, a Game Boy kiosk, demo units and much more besides. Players will be tasked with creating a games store for the character Claude to inhabit - because video games.
There's no word on when these items will arrive in the west, but we'd imagine it will be fairly soon. Could they tempt you back if you've given up on the title? Let us know by posting a comment below.

Confirmed fake
No store has that many amiibo
Well, my local HMV's Nintendo section is 90% amiibo.
...
Oh they don't sell any consoles and just a couple of games though.
Back on topic: This looks cute.
@itzdanburton You should see my local GAME. They're overflowing onto other shelves. No one's buying them 'cause GAME charge £14.99 each.
Bought this for the girlfriend, she enjoys it.. May have to make the Game Store though. Maybe I could make it like Game and have one tiny Wii U stand...
"Subtle" product marketing there, Nintendo.
Data mining showed these were in the game some time ago, I'm looking forward to getting all these things myself.
@RainbowGazelle True about nobody buying at GAME. I've got a couple from them and they're way too overpriced! Nintendo UK Store for me!
Also, got a Mewtwo whilst in Italy for 12 euros. Money well spent
I'll make a store with nothing BUT amiibo when this comes to the west! [And customers will wonder what to do with them 'cause there're no consoles to use them with...]
That's nice, but I don't like how it's only being made available now instead of being unlockable in the game on release day.
@Patriplexity I would guess that first one is Twilight Princess HD.
I just find this game so boring. Even regular Animal Crossing has some challenge.
@riChchestM I'll assume you're in the UK, cuz HMV in Canada hasn't sold video games for about 4-5 years now, which is sad, cause now I have no reason to walk in anymore.
@crimsontadpoles
its called added bonus content, to keep people playing the game, or to get newbies interested in the game, and it doesn't cost you a cent, so not sure why it matters, not knowing about it until now didn't affect your decision to buy or not buy the game, and Animal crossing has been known to give out items at random times of the year, its a part of the fun.
@Patriplexity I think I've only seen the box for Hyrule Warriors a couple of times since my copy is digital, but that makes sense. Best I could tell was that it had that Zelda look with a blurry Link on top with someone to the side.
Woo... that's SO gonna improve the game...
Somewhat surprised that they didn't think about this idea sooner.............
@itzdanburton
Actually most stores have full Amiibo Stock.
Even my Gamestops and Meijer's have plenty of Amiibo stock here in Metro Detroit, Michigan.
@RoomB31 I like everything to be accessible on the game cart. When the servers for this game are eventually shut down, this added content will be impossible to get if I start a new game. Plus I dislike delaying content until an arbitrary time in the future when they decide to make it unlockable.
Still, holding off minor things like this doesn't really annoy me. I'll definitely design that video game store once it becomes available.
Super excited about this! Can't wait to get it on the 1st of December XD
@Patriplexity I think the things in between the games are eshop cards
@Patriplexity Again I have older eyes, but the colors on the second 3DS game looks similar to the Xenoblade Chronicles 3D box.
In a world where no one buys Apple, Sony or Microsoft products...
For a moment I though Wonderful 101 was one of the games on the Wii U shelf and I got excited. I mean, I bought my Wii U primarily to play it, but I guess I'm the minority.
Neat idea either way. Can't wait to set up my Nintendo store next to the hospital full of skeletons!
If it wasn't obvious enough that the game is fantasy from the anthropomorphic animal, the the fact that a game store will have more than one shelf between both the Wii U and 3DS practically screams "this isn't real".
@Patriplexity I'm pretty certain that one of those is Xenoblade 3D. Can't tell the other 3DS ones... one kinda looks like Nintendogs + Cats? Also, there's a Fox amiibo on the shelf. I'm assuming that they're all Wave 1, 'cos I think there's a Kirby on the top right
Just got this! Gonna make a Video Game store now XD
