Fan videos inspired by The Legend of Zelda are relatively plentiful online, with some having professional-level production values. 'Hang Em Hyrule', from the popular beatdownboogie YouTube channel, certainly falls into the higher end of themed videos celebrating Nintendo's much-loved franchise.
As the name implies, this combines the Zelda series with a Spagetti Western vibe - it's a neat re-imagining, with some committed acting, a cool aesthetic and an excellent soundtrack. We reckon it's an impressive effort.
You can check it out below, but be warned that there is some mature violence, so this isn't suitable for younger viewers.

Would it be strange to say "I'd play this"?
Though, now that they made this, you know Nintendo won't even consider doing it anymore.
That was so weird!!!!! People got too much time on their hands, although the production was pretty impressive for what it was.
Red Steel 2 came out a while ago, but I think the genre of Samarai western is a winner--just not Zelda
Ehhh...
What was I supposed to expect or see??
Hang 'em Hyrule.... Oh, my. That's so bad that it's actually almost good again. Almost...
Well, that was certainly impressive acting, but... it just seemed boring...
A Fistful of Rupees did the Zelda/Western thing better, I think.
I thought it was good but Link's outfit didn't look right😁
Now if only Red Dead Redemption was on PC we would have lots of Zelda mods.
I was glad to see a ligature furrow on Link's neck. It's the small details that make it special.
Eh...
It dragged on a bit too much for me.
I'd play this... ;3
A great Spaghetti version and I loved it but probably too slow for the whatever the equivalent MTV generation is called nowadays.
That... actually wasn't too bad. The attention to detail was rather impressive, the costume and gun designs weren't blatant "Zelda in a Western" copies, but had their own style, and the soundtrack, while very typical, wasn't half-bad, either.
Though what impressed me the most was how Ganondorf tried to raise his gun one last time after the headshot. I never expected a small fangroup to include post-mortem reflexes in such a realistic way!
Why do people keep making this stuff
No pun-k intended in the sub heading, I see.
That's actually a nice idea, if the actors wouldn't look so ridiculous (I literally mean the look on their faces, not the costumes)!
Maybe with better actors this could be enjoyable. Unfortunately, this version is unwatchable.
Not bad, but they could have done more with the source material.
