Club Nintendo is going through a longer farewell in PAL territories than in North America - which closes very soon, we'll post a reminder - and is still introducing some charming new items to separate us from our final stars. One that was promised was the Captain Toad Figurine Lamp, which has now popped up in Europe and Australia.
Approximately 12cm tall, this cheeky little explorer will surely light up any room with his charm, as well as that headlamp. It's a pricey option, however - it costs 6000 stars in Europe and 4000 stars in Australia.
Are you going to splash some stars on this lamp? Let us know.
With thanks to Thomas for the heads up.

WHY NOT AMERICA!!!!!!!
Why did I waste my stars on a Yoshi bag
@manwithoutfear Well Club Nintendo is shutting down tomorrow for us, so announcing something like this a day before would probably only make most people mad. Besides I'm sure most people have already used most of their coins by now.
This is so adorable
@Samuel-Flutter Thanks for the reminder, I still have some coins to spend!
Waiting for the Luigi diorama to spend my last 8250 stars.
Club Nintendo isn't dead yet?!
@Tulio517 Well at least not for another nearly two days.
I only has 4000 Coins...Y I NO AUSTRALIAN! sobs
Short by over 1000 coins - Humph - Better go hug my Blue Woolly Yoshi...
@Samuel-Flutter Hm? Club Nintendo is shutting down tomorrow? Did I miss something? What exactly is supposed to be closed? It is closed in september, isn't it? Most of the rewards announced one or two months ago haven't even been released.
heads over to ebay to shop
@Tiefseemiez It's the American one that's closing now, to my understanding.
<3
@Tiefseemiez North America Club Nintendo's last day to redeem coins is tomorrow. Europe's Club Nintendo still has a few months if I'm not mistaken.
Well, only got 3000 stars. And I'm saving those for the MK8 OST anyway.
As nice as it is, I think I will pass.
I have 7200 stars currently, 540 were due to expire this month so I had to spend 500 on a Home Menu theme, which is actually really nice.
Holding out for that Club Nintendo Goodbye coin personally.
Ah, okay, thank you! Don't freak me out like that.
I have 5350 stars. Holding out for the Mario Kart trophy.
Anyone know if the games u can get from them are just simple codes? I have most on there but my girlfriend doesn't so itd be good if i could get her some codes from my account
PAL? Of course....
PLEASE. I'M THROWING MONEY AT YOU FROM CANADA. ACCEPT MY SACRIFICE
Oooh, now I see why the Star Catalogue is not loading XD
Very cute lamp, but I already got the creepy Majora mask's one, I'll use my last stars on a different kind of item.
3500 stars I would've thought they would lower the price of all the items because I don't think many people have that many stars left honestly! I had more but of course I had to spend them because of the stupid expirey date which they should've removed by now!
Well damn this sucks.
I really wanted a captain toad amiibo. That lamp is cool though.
Is there any way to still register games? I'm short by just a couple of hundred stars
I give thee light!
I want it! But all my coins are gone
I got it for my 'super you'll never guess what this is' Christmas surprise for a short person I know. 4000 left for something else. Hoping for the Mario Kart 8 soundtrack if I have enough.
Waiting for some more soundtracks to make there way into the catalogue. When the closing daye arrives, I'll use any left over ones for digital games.
I totally regret spending all my points when they announced Club Nintendo was closing. Why are they adding all this awesome stuff.
Aww that's cute... Lucky PAL territories...
I'll buy it at a high price.
*PAL Club Nintendo only
*puts away wallet
Blew my final load on this guy. Only a pointless 250 stars left. I guess he can keep me safe from my Majora's Mask Lamp. After 43,000 stars, it's been emotional CN.
Nintendo is aware that people would use real currency to get these things, right?
Why did they model him with his mouth closed? I'll hold out for something more useful, like the 3DS cart case should they ever show up.
Salt in the wound NintendoLife. Salt in the wound.
@Rexx
You still can register those you can find in retail games. I'm short of 550stars myself fir another 6000 stars.
Dang. I have 750 coins to use up by tomorrow here in America. I'm going to have to use them on games I don't care about. Luckies...
Give me the Mario Kart 8 Soundtrack, please!
Keeping my 3100 Stars just for that reward...
Wow this is awesome! I got the Luigi's Mansion diorama- this would really go great next to it- I think it would really tied the room together.
I well I suppose I can try to catch it on eBay for a good price some day
AGAIN 500 STARS SHORT GEDDAMNIT ><; ><; /cry First Majora, now this....
GOD DAMMIT LET ME BUY IT WITH MONEY.
I bought me a lamp!
Blew all my stars on the Game & Watch replica ages ago.
Why isn't this an amiibo? One that actually lit up and acted just like a regular Toad. I'd buy that in a heartbeat!
i want this so badly, NA never gets anything good
I hope people form PAL territories aren't saying "We have it worst than the US when it comes to getting stuff."
@ColdingLight oh I don't know.. perhaps the word HUMBLE reminds you of something?
Cool!
I must own this . . . .somehow!
I'm short 50 stars. That huuuuuurts.
Can anyone help me out with a code?
I don't know whether to get this or wait for Mario kart trophies :/ I have 6000 exactly what do you guys suggest?
@Rexx I can help I will pm you a monster hunter 4 code I didn't realise it came with one till now XP
@MullacSenpai amazing!! Thank you! Where do we find PMs? I'm kind of new here
@Rexx I have been on the site a while but only recently made an account and I don't think we can PM XD So idk how to give it to you :/
@MullacSenpai How about add me on Miiverse and include it in your message? Rex Monsoon is me
I've already wasted most of my stars, like everybody else.
@SanderEvers
1: If Nintendo seriously didn't sell these things for that reason, they probably wouldn't even sell their consoles and games. That's stupid.
2: It may be free from customs but Nintendo still need to pay for production. Getting no money from these things is costly and most businesses would sell these kinds of trinkets, so they may earn back their money to go towards further production.
3: Big whoop. Like either me, or anybody else cares that they have enough. I'm sure that they might get a kick out of a free lamp, but not everyone can get a million damn codes out of the blue like that. They don't they just sell it and make it a freebie for those with Club Nintendo? Sorted. All sides involved are happy.
Is the lamp AC or batteries? If AC, peeps across the pond on 120V grids would need a bulky transformer to use it.
Nintendo of America truly hates America
Woohoo! Got mine on the way. =D
Seems like not many people have 6000 stars left, cause it's still not sold out.
