Sega has released a new video showing off Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX, a 3DS music title which is arriving worldwide this May.
The game includes 40 songs and has 110 costumes to unlock, including Hatsune Miku Halloween version, Miku Magical Snow version and Miku Snow Bell version.
Sega has already confirmed that North America and Europe are getting the title on the 26th and 29th May respectively. The Japanese version launches on the 28th.
Are you a fan of the series? Will you be getting this title when it launches? Are you going anywhere nice on holiday this year? Please answer all of our questions by posting a comment below.

There's so much in this game. With the amount of content in this version of the game, I hope none of it gets cut out for the localized version.
Of course, I'm going to be pre-ordering this in April.
I always love me a good rhythm game. But will it be in English?
@TeeJay - I would guess that most of, if not all of the songs will be Japanese but with menus in English (or various other languages..)
And to answer NL's questions -
Yes, yes, Skegness!
@TeeJay As far as I know, Hatsune Miku gets text translations and English subtitles for its tracks, so it'd be easy to navigate and get around. Still, a localized version with all these items in? I'm going to enjoy it.
Japanese rhythm action? Count me in!
@hybridseed
Yes, can't wait~
Gonna preorder as soon as GAME or somewhere open their preorders... Love the Project Diva series, have got at least one copy of each game from the first PSP one, all the way up to F2nd(three copies... Imported one, bought the other two when they released here), except Mirai (due to the region lock)... And I also got Megpoid the Music (love Gumi, but not a huge fan of the game. It had potential, but was a bit of a let down. At least Gumi's songs in Project Mirai make up for it, they're a couple of my favourites!)... And then IA/VT on preorder... IA's my favourite Vocaloid, so I knew I needed her game(so I preordered the special edition for all the goodies). That one's in June, so it's gonna be a Vocaloid filled Summer!
I love Vocaloid~
As for the other question? Not particularly going anywhere special, but, similar to @hybridseed, I might be going up to Skeg during the Summer. I live on one of the bus routes, about half hour away, so it's easy to just hop up there if the weather's nice, go arcades, etc. xD
She's so cute! I can hardly wait. It's too bad she hasn't taken off on the mainstream in the U.S. Even with an appearance on David Letterman. (It's on You-Tube).
I've discovered that I like rhythm games through Final Fantasy Theatrhythm, but I'm really not into J-Pop. Might buy on sale. It's good that niche games like this are being localized, anyway.
Anyone knows the song list? I will buy this on Day 1!!!
@dsanpe It's the entirety of this list - http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatsune_Miku:_Project_Mirai_2#Song_List - plus a new song "Nice to Meet You, Mr Earthling" by pinocchioP
I am a bit curious on this IP, but not sure if to get this or one of the PS3 games instead.
I will probably try it if it is made by AM2 as Wikipedia says it is. (Without a citation).
I think I'll stick to Rhythm Heaven.
I'll be getting a copy as soon as I can. While I love the music of vocaloids, I've lacked any of the consoles to play them on in the past. Mirai also seems a bit less hectic than the Diva gameplay.
Q) Are you a fan of the series?
A) Is that for Vocaloid overall, or for the Hatsune Miku Project series? Well, doesn't matter as my response is yet to both, even if I've only played one entry of the Project series.
That said, I had a ton of fun with Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2nd, and I couldn't even understand a single menu option in that. Naturally, a translated version of the game should be much more enjoyable and has me excited.
Q) Will you be getting this title when it launches?
A) I'm not quite so sure about when it launches, that depends on when Splatoon and Legend of Kay Anniversary come out. Multiple trips to the nearest video game store (which is a good 10-12 miles) can be rather annoying for anyone giving me a lift, so I may get the game at a slightly later date when I go to pick up another game I want.
If I could get it at launch, I gladly would though.
Q) Are you going anywhere nice on holiday this year?
A) My parents had a rule, we either have holidays or have pets. Our house has three dogs, two chinchilla's, and one cat. So no, but the pets ate totally worth the lack of holidays.
PIANO*GIRL, Hello, Planet, Senbonzakura... Mirai has a better song selection than Diva f / f 2nd
However, I'm not so sure about the Chibi Nendroids....
Definetly will be picking it up day one! I love the Vocaloid Rythm games and have been playing Mirai 2 for a while now! Though I always found it weird they didn't have Gumi in the intro sequence, but have her in quite a few songs.
2 months more, 2 months more!!, and Yey, yey!!, one of the games that expected for a long time.
ok, 2 months more!
I wonder if they are leaving the J-pop on the north AmerIcan release. No matter I'm not buying but would consider it more if the j-pop stayed as the soundtrack. It just sounds much more fun.
@Damo Awesome pic!
@Bisylizzie I go there for the arcades too, it's where I first played Outrun and Space Harrier in the moving cabinets.. Happy memories Be cool to check out some new arcade games this year, great fish and chips too!
If it includes Vocaloids and rhythm it pretty much impossible for me not to skip out on this.
I love the Miku games!
@Windy
All the songs are the original Japanese release, they just have subtitles at the bottom.
@DinoFett
Eh I'm fine with where her US popularity is at right now. As long as she's popular enough to hold concerts, conventions, and have more of her music showing up on digital stores and the games localized then that's all I can ask for as a fan. Most of the appeal of vocaloid is the large user generated community, when the software catches on in the States is when I reckon we might start seeing some significant spike in popularity.
This is so cute! This would be my first entry into the Miku games (I love Luka though)! Would love to have those Project Diva games as well, but I'm not into PS ecosystem. Really happy this is coming!
Cool! I actually don't have that much experience with the Miku rhythm games. I'll think about getting it.
