Iron Combat: War in the Air Bringing Mech Battle Mayhem to the 3DS eShop

I enjoyed Liberation Maiden and usually like anything involving air combat games, so hey itll be worth a look.

Anorexic mech-girl air combat, eh? I'll give it a look if the combat is fun. There's still a lack of action-heavy shooter games on the 3DS.

Yep this is a day one buy. Looks cool and love air combat! Hope it has customization and a leveling system.

It looks really good, but what's up with all those "Mech-girls" ... wouldn't it be easyer to just make them gundams or anything like that? ...

This game is awesome, if not a little repetitive.
It can basically be described as "Strike Suit Zero Lite", though in mecha musume mode the gameplay is more like an arena battle game than a TPS.

Never thought this game would make it over, so I already have it on my JP New 3DS, but I'm glad it's finally making it here.

Though honestly, the localized title sounds stupid.

It was released in Japan as Rinkō no Lanze (Phosphorescent Lanze) in December 2013! Thought it would've been localised sooner to be honest..

Great game, strangely, I was thinking of replaying it last night, hoping for a PAL release too..

I don't get it. Both characters seem to be entirely promotional, since nowhere in the game they seem to show up at all. What's the point, then?

Europe deserves to wait for this after getting Ironfall Invasion two weeks before NA.

The flying things you control are those characters. Took me a bit to notice it. You're controlling the anorexic girls with wings and crap on them.

A better solution would be to drop region locking. Like everyone else did.

I'll give this a shot. It does remind me that I would like a better note or wish list function on the eShop. One where I can list titles not yet released or even ones I want to look for. Granted, that's still ahead of Sony's PS Store on the Vita. No wish list option there at all.

I would really like a wishlist option for the Vita. Strangely, there is on Sony's website, but that it's missing in the PS Stores is a bummer.

@russellohh A flying ship... and a flying mech. No humanoid presence. Even if they were piloting the things, they still aren't visible.

You can clearly see them when they're on "mech" mode.

@Kaze_Memaryu At 22 seconds through the rest of the video, they repeatedly turn and face the camera. Not only can you tell them apart by the different color outfits, but even their hair and facial structure are clearly different as they fly around.

Are you maybe watching this on a phone or something? At 22 and 38 seconds, not only can you see their faces, but their arms, legs, and...yeah.

It's a game about two people that can fly. The entire video shows two people wearing shiney suits, flying.

Why does this look like this is something the Vita would have?

@russellohh Huh, it took me watching the whole video five times and constantly pausing to actually make out that much...
And no, I don't even have a phone - I use the WiiU GamePad for that. Maybe that had something to do with it, but I honestly didn't see these details at all without pausing.
Sooo, yeah. Sorry, my mistake.

Please, don't be like Inti Creates and take 6+ months to bring it to Europe.

@Kaze_Memaryu No problem! The Wii U gamepad is actually just about DVD quality, but only a few inches across. The heads are small, so you don't really see faces well, but the arms and legs are a bit more obvious. The colors are what really gave it away

When I saw the headline I was hoping for a Virtual On experience with online play. This does look neat.

This looks awesome! This is something I'll likely buy without waiting for a sale depending on the review.

Same here, my friend. The price seems to be great for such a title. I just hope that there is a lot to keep coming back to.

@Windy srsly! Looks pretty sweet! Can't wait to play in full 3D. NA needs more titles to make it to the system, tired of the same old rehash of old nes games and crappy games that couldn't cut it on smart phones.

Game looks pretty fun, if not slightly twitchy. I didn't know they made anime girls with normal sized breasts, either.
