As a few of you are probably aware, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker - the enhanced remake of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 - is coming to North American 3DS systems on 5th May. Featuring all of the content of the original game and adding in an additional story mode estimated to add about 40 hours of playtime, this certainly looks like one to keep on the radar; especially given that it appears May will be a rather quiet month for the 3DS.
Recently, Atlus released a video explaining how the Fate System in the upcoming release will work. Players will be able to engage in conversations with a wide variety of NPCs to build relationships which will in turn have combat bonuses as well as change the outcome of the overall story. Here’s a video that explains it with footage and we included some screenshots, as well:

Nothing shockingly new, but it's definitly interesting when a game actually give a deep story-meaning to choices in dialogues.
I would place a classic "hope for a release in EU", but first of all I must find the time to play the first Devil Survivor ^_^;
Really looking forward to this. Already have it preordered and paid off. Most of all I hope it can pull me away from my MH4U addiction.
Do i need to have beaten the first one to play this one?
@Omarzy So far as I know, the two games are not very related to each other. The relations are basically limited to some references and similar gameplay. I am playing the original Devil Surv 2 and the story feels full and I do not feel like I am missing out on anything.
Have this on pre-order. I'm trying to finish Persona Q (possibly the hardest game I've played in my life) before this comes out. Good times ahead.
Haha alright, big bro!
Would get this but 59.99 is a lot to spend on a game. Sucks to be Canadian right now, at least when it comes to video games.
@Pokefanmum82
Yeah it's unfortunate that we have to pay 44.99 for an average 3DS, and the prices for new home console games can be high. With the Canadian dollar falling, it looks like we'll continue to see these prices.
Those screens are from the lower screen I hope...
Man, I still have to beat the other few SMT games I have on DS/3DS... darn 80hr games!
