Atlus has shed new light on the new story arc in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker; this game, remember, is a remastered port of the original Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 for the DS. After the events of the first game the evil Nicaea system is back online and the characters will have to alter their fates to save the world, taking control of various demons to help on their journey. A new section, titled the Triangulum Arc, has been added to this version, adding 40 hours of content including new characters, settings, and bosses.
The original content will also receive the full voice acting treatment with StreetPass and SpotPass functionality included as well. For those who already experienced the original game the new content is accessible from the beginning.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker is set for release on 3DS on 5th May 2015 in North America. No European Release date has been announced as yet. Are you excited about this one?

Loved the first. I'm glad this finally has a release date!
not too sure I will get it. It is a tad too expensive for me ($60)
Again, europe please
@Pokefanmum82
I might be in a minority here but I think it's worth it. Really is an amazing game and they are adding even more content.
I've resigned myself to thinking I'll never be able to get it unless proven otherwise.
i'm still enjoying Overclocked and will be downloading SMT4 tomorrow on sale.
@Pokefanmum82 I figured when you said 60$ you were from Canada. Can't blame you one bit. I'm not paying the 10$ extra dollars either. These are 3ds games for crying out load and not vita games. I'll gladly wait till it's 40$ or less. Hoping for it on sale at 30$ down the road.
@Pokefanmum82 It's not $60, it's $50, good deal for a long game plus Atlus goodies.
@Spoony_Tech Or you can wait 'til it hits $5 bucks. For me $50 is good value, a long game plus CD/Artbook and an extra box is great.
I hope this will make it to Europe as a boxed retail release and not just eShop like they did with SMT4. This OCD completist shelf porn loving nerd isnt gonna be happy if I can't display the box.
@Quinn_Blackwood It is 60$ in Canada as they always charge a bit more. As for the value, I could care less really. Atlus is getting carried away with this extra 10$ charge and I won't support it. I didn't get Persona Q yet either for this very reason. With that said I've been day on on every 3ds game besides those 2 and CoP. If I continue to support this action then they will continue to as well. Thanks but no thanks, I can wait. To me Monster Hunter 4U is a complete package at the right price as is about 100's other games for the 3ds
I can't afford $60 right now. I have other more important things to pay for. Maybe I will get it at a later date. On EB Games Canada's website it is $59.99 plus tax
@ottospooky wow that is THE best comment I've ever read on nintendolife and the internet generally.
I signed in just to tell you that haha it's exactly how I feel about digital only releases and the rise of digital instruction booklets.
Eh, I'll probably pay the extra $10. It DOES come with a lot of extra content, and I've been holding off on playing DeSu 2 for a long time because I've been waiting for this one.
No way am I paying $50 for Persona Q, though. That'll go down in an eshop sale eventually. Atlus games always do.
cannot wait for this game
@JoeyJoey95 You haven't beaten SMT 4?What are you waiting for?
I miss Flynn already.
That is a wait for a discount if I ever saw it. I have the one for DS. I love it, but I spent 50 beans on Persona Q and Xenoblade is coming out at the same time. Yeah that's a wait for a discount .
@JoeyJoey95 If only if
Lol, this will come to Europe a year later and only in digital eshop release. Surely it will be the same US edition with no changes.
Still undecided. Been spending a lot of money lately, and I remember SMT4 dropping in price fairly quickly after buying it day one. Prob still be playing MH4U anyways
