Nintendo, as always, is utilising various tactics and styles of marketing to promote its next hottest products, with 13th February bringing gamers in Europe and North America the New Nintendo 3DS and some major releases. Some fresh TV commercials promoting key games and the new systems have been released in the US, and they're both effective and cheesy.
Each commercial focuses on the New 3DS and a specific game, in this case The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. These TV spots actually remind us of some dodgy trailers that the original 3DS had in the UK back in March / April 2011, which showed reactions and gamers generally ooh-ing and aah-ing. In fairness to these commercials they are flashier than those older adverts, and feature some recognisable faces from YouTube, presumably those that aren't affected or complaining about the outlet's Creators Program beta currently underway in the country.
As 30-second snapshots these are effective, in any case - check them out below and let us know what you think of them in the comments section.

#HAVEYOUSEEIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes and I see you releasing a new system in two years which is far better then this one. so I think I'll be fine until then
I like how the people get excited for a feature that's been standard in most consoles and handheld gaming the second c-stick. The one guy was like wow I can look around lol.
Was it me or was monster hunter a lot better looking then the demo version we got. It almost looked hd.
Over-impressed guy is Sean Klitzner, isn't he?
I see him a lot in jacksfilms' channel. Gotta love the man.
@Spoony_Tech The demo, along with the full version of the game on the old 3ds, have downscaled textures/
Can't wait to get Monster Hunter soon, thankfully I have no school on Friday so I can rush to EB Games once I wake up.
They seem to be finally learning how to make a decent commercial. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how many people still watch TV on a regular basis. Repetition is what sells, but with people device-hopping nowadays it's harder than ever to deliver a consistent message and ad.
In any case, absolutely stoked to play my Monster Hunter limited edition new3DS. Face tracking 3D is a genuinely exciting feature, and the C-stick is exciting for the same reason HD was still exciting with Wii U even though it had been around long before on other systems- because it's a first for Nintendo's games. Never before have we had a Nintendo handheld with native camera analog. I always appreciate every little feature when it comes to Nintendo. Their games are already so fun that even little improvements like this get me stoked.
Everyone, I need your help!!!!! MM 3d or MH4H?????? I can't decide!!!
Can't wait to finally see the super stable 3D. I only wished there were more titles announced at this time. Maybe at E3?
Pre-ordered because of the face tracking 3D. Can't wait!!
@rishisquid MH4U for me. Well I'm a mon hun fan so.
Really cool red 3DS, shame we aren't getting it in the uk.
@Hy8ogen Well you see I am a really big zelda fan, but I have friends who are getting mon hun, so I'm torn. I know I'll have fun either way, but I think I'm leaning towards mm cause zelda is my baby...
@rishisquid eat cup noodles for 2 days, and you'll save enough money to buy both
@rishisquid monster hunter 4 ultimate. Lots of depth and great gameplay.
@immiebroods Thanks, I think I know now which way I'm leaning
@Hy8ogen whimpers sadly But... I don't like noodles....
Nintendo should do TV commercials. And other commercials.
I mean, I have never seen a Nintendo commercial other than the ones I see here, watching the official Nintendo YouTube channel, or visiting their official pages.
I even recently learned that Nintendo has this cool guide booklet featuring all their best Wii U and 3DS games. I learned it by answering a quiz from Nintendo and one of the questions was about some of the pages in that book. I had to use Google to find the PDF version. It was great! So sad you can't see it in stores, it was obviously meant to be a free guide to what games you should get for your Nintendo console. No one looks for something like that on Google.
