Harmony of Heroes, the free fan album dedicated to the Super Smash Bros. series, has a confirmed release date of 4th October, just a day after the arrival of the 3DS title in Europe and North America.
It's a large-scale project involving contributors from around the world, bringing together a grand total of 101 tracks. The lead team is the same that produced the excellent Metroid-inspired Harmony of a Hunter albums, so this should serve as a treat for fans of the Super Smash Bros. titles and, we imagine, the game's included franchises and IPs.
The album will be available to download from the official website, with downloads split up into individual games to avoid having all 101 tracks in one playlist. There'll also be an online 'listening party' for its launch at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 10pm UK / 11pm CET on 4th October — details for that can be found on this Facebook page.
Will you be downloading this to get in the Smash Bros. mood? Based on the quality of the team's previous output it'll certainly be worth your time.
Thanks to Maelstrom for the heads up.

can't wait to download this soundtrack
OMG YES!
I've been waiting for this and Theophany's second part of his Majora's Mask series for months (or is nearer a year now...)
I absolutely adore the Harmony of a Hunter albums so this is just Christmas come early for me!
This makes me feel a bit better. I'd still like that official soundtrack too though. I'll be buying both versions but since Scandinavian countries don't have Club Nintendo I can't get the soundtrack.
The Metroid music they put together was fantastic. Looking forward to this!
They couldn't have timed that much better.
id buy it
Cool! And for free! Wow... Music is awesome!
Edit: After listening to previews on youtube, I simply can't believe this is for free! They sound so legit and 101 tracks is a ton of music!
Downloading all 101 tracks.
Harmony of a Hunter is almost my life's soundtrack. Let's hope this is as good.
This is so generous that I would pay money for their hard work.
@Late: I'm sure you could find a seller on eBay, &/or Amazon that ships worldwide. eBay recently came out with a program for, at least North American sellers, to have a less hassled global shipping option; Sellers ship their item to (what I would call a proxy) facility, here in the U.S.A, that then ships the item to global locations.
Be advised however, that (all, or at least most) Club Nintendo stuff, particularly/especially gold, & platinum rewards, go for expensive amounts, so be prepared to shell out.
What a lovely birthday present for me
Gotta love Nintendo music.
@Nik-Davies No way! The 4th? Mine too!
@Prime Well, only the coolest people are born on that day
@Nik-Davies Happy Birthday!
101 tracks? Well that's just Wonderful.
