A busy time for Mario

Nintendo often completes minor maintenance on its Network and eShop platforms, though is lining up a fairly major period of work that'll disrupt most aspects of the company's online services.

At the time of writing Nintendo is advising of intermittent access problems for Miiverse on the Wii U and 3DS, since 3pm Pacific / 6pm Eastern / 11pm UK / midnight CET on Friday 26th September; this is due to continue over the weekend and early next week.

In terms of the scheduled maintenance this week, there are multiple periods of downtime ahead; details are below.

There's plenty happening, it seems, with the extensive Miiverse maintenance being particularly noticeable, while the Mario Kart 8 maintenance is also going to disrupt some online gaming sessions.
