We often report the weekly UK and Japanese chart results here on Nintendo Life, as well as the monthly NPD results for the U.S., but there are a significant number of other valuable territories in which Nintendo is competing. It can also paint a worrying picture for European sales as titles struggle in the UK, which isn't reflective of trends throughout the continent — the Spanish results demonstrate just that.
As reported by Nintenderos, the February software sales for Spain hold some positive news for Nintendo. There are four titles on the big N's hardware in the top ten, with two on 3DS, one on Wii U and one evergreen sales magnet on Wii.
1. Inazuma Eleven 3: Team Ogre Attacks (3DS)
2. FIFA 14 (PS3)
3. Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS3)
4. Grand Theft Auto V (PS3)
5. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)
6. FIFA 14 (PS4)
7. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Wii U)
8. Thief (PS4)
9. Mario Party: Island Tour (3DS)
10. Just Dance 2014 (Wii)
It's always pleasing to see a Wii U exclusive securing some solid sales, while the performance of Inazuma Eleven 3: Team Ogre Attacks in taking top spot is particular eye-catching. Overall it was a decent month for Nintendo in Spain.
Thanks to Oscar for the tip.

I thought Fifa only sold well in the UK, well you learn something new every day.
no.1 needs the link adjusting guys
@ThomasBW84 You missed the [/url] on the first item.
I've fixed the link now
Cool, Spanish charts, thats more like it NL . Suprised to see Mario Party in the top ten TBH
I just bought DKCTF and Pre-ordered Yoshi New Island, Hope Yoshi is good, dont know when I'll get to DKCTF , but hoepfully they will count to the UK/Irish charts next week.
@Jazzer94
Why would it only sell well in the UK? Football is pretty popular all around the globe (except for the US, where it seems like only female soccer is kinda accepted) and of course Spain is no exception, especially with their national team being as successful as it is.
The Spanish go nuts over football. I remember being in Spain when they won the 2012 Euro Cup final and it was complete chaos in the streets.
FIFA regularly features in the US top 10 selling titles for the year now too. Madden 13 did about 5.9 million worldwide, FIFA 13 did 14.2 million.
Glad to see Inazuma selling well somewhere, but it baffles me why Nintendo UK don't push this harder. Nobody even knows it exists. The UK love Layton and love football, so they'd surely love this if they only knew it existed. I only found out about the series after a friend that had worked on testing the English translation for Nintendo told me about it.
@KeeperBvK I know it does that's exactly what I'm trying to highlight as some user seem to think the UK charts are some sort of anomaly when they are not sports game sell well everywhere yet common comments on the UK charts are that all we buy is Fifa and COD.
Nice to see Nintendo are doing well in parts of Europe. if only the UK was the same.
Wow, now we're obsessing over Spanish charts.
Why am I not surprised a SOCCER game is popular in Spain?
I liked the first one on DS, I'd be all over this one if it had online. Will be waiting for Pocket Football, now, for my footy fix on 3DS...
