Review Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Wii U)
Ain't no business like monkey business
It says much for the level of expectation placed upon Nintendo and Retro Studios that some questioned the decision to revisit the world of Donkey Kong for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, yet that initial reaction should be pushed aside. Anyone that discounts this title due to the fact it’s not the exact...
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Guides
Careful: this includes spoilers
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze hasn't changed much in the transition between Wii U and Switch, so if you've already played that version you won't have a ton of questions. However, it's safe to say that the Switch has a much larger audience than the Wii U did, so a bunch of you will be coming into this excellent...

About The Game
In this adventure, the Kongs must reclaim their island from the dastardly Vikings of the northern seas.
To do this, they need to set off on a journey around five different islands, plus the frozen Donkey Kong Island. This will be the first game in the series to be in HD, bringing glorious detail and expression to the world. Depending on the stage, you can swivel or move the camera around to view dynamic scenes while enjoying the rich gameplay.
Along with Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong returns as a main character, while Cranky Kong is playable for the first time! Your abilities change depending on which partner you bring along, opening up new choices and possibilities. There’s even a cooperative two-player mode, with each player controlling one of the characters and working together to progress through the game!

This looks Amazing... never got to play Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii... So I'm Super stoked to get my hands on Tropical Freeze!!!!!
@GearsOfWarU if you play donkey kong country returns you will be good playing tropical freeze or you can just do it the other way around
This will no doubt be better than the first
@donkeykong64 That will be tough to do! In my eyes Donkey Kong Country Returns is the best platformer I have ever played in my life right next to the original Super Mario Bros.
Such a waste of retro's potential
Now that I have a Wii U I can;t wait for this to come out!
More like a great use of Retro's potential.
Downloading as we speak!
Wish I had the money for this one. maybe next payday.
I love this rebirth of the platforming genre. This type of game represents the essence of what makes gaming fun!
Meh, the game is not bad, it is just that so much more could be done. You also need an really big display to enjoy this game, which is kinda sad.
Also I remember seals were also your friends from the original DKC2 game. When did they become your enemy??
The Youtube fanmade of frozen is probably the only thing that did this game justice. If somebody just made an "Frozen mod" it would have been much better.
"K.Rool and the Kremlings" now their is an game I could bite into
