In terms of upcoming Wii U eShop titles, we'd urge fans of bullet-hell action games to pay plenty of attention to Assault Android Cactus from developer Witch Beam. We went hands on with the early access PC build and were seriously impressed, with the attractive art-style and rock-solid frame-rate providing a twin-stick blast; Wii Remote and Nunchuk controls will also be supported on Wii U.
As the early access build improves and the studio gets closer to the full release, it's released a new trailer to introduce Aubergine, a new character with a fierce boomerang-style weapon. The trailer's also well worth a watch as it shows more of the game in action; we reckon it'll get the blood pumping for shooter fans.
Check it out below and let us know what you think.

::crying:: ...You had me at "bullet hell"... you had me at "bullet hell."
Looks sweet.
Another day one purchase, my wallet is going to be hurting in 2014 but I wouldn't have it any ther way!
"Assault Android Cactus" will go down in history as having one of the best titles for a video game ever; right up there with "Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine" and "Ninja Baseball Batman".
@Gioku "Ninjabread Man" was the best title but sadly it was a terrible game
All these indie shooters make me want a Wii U version of Beach Head. It would be lots of fun sitting in an office chair.
Can't wait!!!!
And again: Thank you, Unity3D. Thank you, Nintendo. Looks like another good game ported to the WiiU.
Been getting into a little Unity3D myself recently. And it's wonderful to see this amount of support for the Nintendo eShop/WiiU. Especially as Indie Developers are oft most in a better situation to design innovative gameplay experiences with the controller
Looks to be fun, if not a bit confusing. What I talking about though, it's a bullet hell shooter!
Looks really good! When is it coming?
@XCWarrior This is not a bullet hell. It is some sort of arena shooter by the looks of it.
@Nintenjoe64 I think the best title goes to "Drunken robot pornography" on steam . Ninja bread man is great though .
For some odd reason I REALLY like the aesthetics of the game and how the health and weapons information is displayed on screen. Reminds me a bit of the Metroid Prime visor...
I go with @Gioku as far as one of the best names for a videogame is concerned. Ninjabread man not only sucks major b@!!s as a game, the name is VERY far from the best. Then again, what we think is best is all open to personal opinion and certainly no fact, so the same goes for me; it's just my opinion, largely based upon my mistake of ever having tried out Ninjabread man. And it really DOES suck...
Looks like Smash TV from what I saw.
Looks great! Speaking of titles, my favorite is an 8-bit hidden gem "Kabuki Quantum Fighter". The concept made really little sense.
this game looks great!... is there a release date yet?
@shigulicious Smash TV indeed. Ah, the memories...
