Last week Ghostlight revealed it would be giving Europeans the chance to get hold of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 by pre-ordering the game from its online store. However, the publisher will only release the DS title should it receive enough requests.
Well, the chance to reserve a copy will start next week and Ghostlight will then reveal how many pre-orders it needs for the release to go ahead.
One thing that has already been announced is the price, which will be £24.99 / €29.99, and should you commit to it you'll get your name printed lovingly in the instructions manual, which is a nice touch.
Ghostlight is also looking into offering a special pre-order pack that will allow people to pick up Devil Survivor: Overclocked at a "heavily discounted" price. It also went on to say an eShop version of the 3DS title should be on the way fairly soon.
Devil Survivor 2 is being remade on the 3DS in Japan and it could eventually make it overseas, however, Ghostlight feels there is value in releasing the DS iteration now, more than a year after it emerged in the US.
What are your thoughts on this, Europe? Will you be supporting Ghostlight with this one? Let us know in the comment section below.

I think that nobody post in here, is because people will only be interested in a 3DS version, like me?
@TheRealOtto Yep, this is a waste of time imo. You can import this game from the US as its DS and not region locked. Plus the 3DS remake will make it over here eventually and in the meantime we have SMT4, E04 and a host of other great games to keep us busy.
Hm, I don't think I'll be getting this... I mean, I could just import this from US if I want, but on the other hand it's good to support Ghostlight, since they've done so much good for us European gamers. I'll have to consider this.
well im not from europe but i didnt get the sequal in canada because i have the first one on the 3ds so i decided to wait it out for a sequal 3ds version
Definitely getting it. Also considering getting the eshop version of DS:Overclocked, always wondered why it wasn't there to begin with :
At the end of the day you can choose to support devs who will put the effort into supporting releases in our region or you can choose not to. Being a european, I know what choice I'm gonna make.
There's a remake in the making, I prefer to buy that --- if it ever arrives. I must admit I am a bit worried of bugs creeping in like that of Overclocked.
I prefer if all Atlus' releases come to EU rather than back specials like this... we're still waiting on a forever TBA SMTIV.
If only Square Enix did something like this with their most recent Dragon Quest games. Either that or just localise them already. D:
