Chris Seavor — otherwise known as the man who created Conker's Bad Fur Day — has already stated that Wii U development interests him a great deal. However, he's now given his most convincing indication yet that he has something in the works for Nintendo's system.
When asked on Twitter if he was going to work on the Wii U in the future, Seavor replied:
As it happens, we'll be speaking to Seavor very soon and may even get some exclusive information which will shed some light on his mysterious tweet. His studio Gory Details has already released Parashoot Stan on iOS — perhaps he's planning on porting that to the Wii U eShop? Or maybe Seavor has something entirely new up his talented sleeve? I'm interested to see what a mind like that can come up with! Conkers was hands down the funniest game I've ever played and doubt any is funnier!!
A Conkers-like game in the Wii U, with some mature comedy thrown in, would be most welcome indeed.
Conker's Bad Fur Day was amazing and one of my favourite (original)Rare, (not the new death husk Microsoft Rare). The graphics and textures were amazing, the sound quality and sheer amount of audio was staggering. AND it was a solid puzzle platformer with an hysterical plot.
Chris Seavor was the last great Rare programmer and it would be great to see him back on Nintendo.
Would be amazing if the Stamper Brothers formed a new company and re-hired everyone from the late 90's and started working with Nintendo again if I'm honest.
So he got those kits he needed?
It's probably an eShop game considering his studio is small staffed.
@SirMario Wayforward is small staffed and look at the great games they put out. in other words.. Dont judge a company by its size...
It seems like every third day there is news that another Indy title may be coming to the Wii U. Nintendo has clearly done an excellent job of enticing those studios. If only they could attract more mainstream third party support as well.
@ZeroxGT Indeed, don't judge a company by it's size, judge it by it's budget.
Screw 3rd party! If Wii U gets another Conker game (the likes of Bad Fur Day, with the mature content and what not), then that would definitely help the Wii U in the "hardcore" department. I'm a full-out Mario and Zelda fan, but CBFD was one of the most unexpected, ironically charming, and not to mention, fun games I have played, and having a true sequal would mean that the Wii U would have something unique and creative to offer its more mature and hardcore fans, what Microsoft and Sony don't have I assume.
Maybe some other kind of critter needs a bad fur day! Parachute Stan looks great from what i've seen. Can't wait to see what they can do on the Wii u.
Very excited to see what he may have in store.
I wonder why only 90's born developer love the Wii U, must be a good sign.
Im satisfied of chris seavor and all his work he's done in the past with nintendo I look up to him as my friend more then anything in the whole world but his game will change anything of his life time same with parashoot stan
